1. It sure does! I wanna drive south In August for a beer festival in Bristol so i'll be hoping to have at least the body work and MOT done by then! Can't wait!
2. That's just vagcat online. I'm not sure they have the diagram for the 8v PG engine for every componant so they often use another engine in the diagram. Also, thanks to the inlet manifold going round the back of the PG engine the only thing in the way of that bracket is a few charger and water hoses. Should be a doddle to change.... Whoops, probably jinxed it now! :bonk: ---------- Post added at 09:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:33 AM ---------- thanks for these David. I bought some Febi parts from VW spares. Didn't say if it came with the O-ring or not though. If not i can always go into the local VW garage and beg them for one. 037 121 132B - £5.30 026 121 144A - £3.50 For anyone who cares...
3. It must be hard dude. Hopefully bill will take it off your hands so you'll at least know its going to a good home. Some C's are taking ages to sell just now anyway so don't worry about yours not going anywhere. Some one out there is crying out for this car! You just need to find them
4. Next on the pipelines is the pipelines! Still need to fix this brake leak at the brake bias valve. And get it MOT'd. I'm expecting I need a new lambda too. Once the MOT is out of the way I'll be wanting to service the charger so will be saving up for that I think. In the mean time I think I'm going to get back to finishing off the body work and maybe fitting my new sunroof and bonnet. Should keep the likes of me busy for a few months!
5. Amazing isn't the word. Drove it to a local car park to try the brakes and it was incredible... the last time I drove it the front engine mount was shagged and there was no oil in it, no power steering, fudged suspension. It's like chalk and cheese! There is a little knocking sound coming from the subframe though... I think I may have fitted the ARB on upside down, i think it's knocking against the exhaust manifold!
6. I can't seem to find this part on vagcat, could someone who is a kind and lovely human being please help me to locate the part code for the T-piece on engine block that connects to the upper radiator hose? Circled on this image in RED Also... this seems to be leaking from the engine side of the part. Does this part come with a gasket? If not would some gasket sealant do the trick? Thank you! :thumbleft:
7. early ones are available from vag and there is someone on here making late stainless steel ones new. Try the search function
8. I'm going to get some TRW carriers from VW spares I think eventually, but thanks for the offer, ill keep it in mind. The paint I used was 2Pak. It's hard wearing and doesn't need lacquering and comes in a infinite range of colours. Trouble is that it's not heat resistant above 250 degrees (ish) so not ideal for callipers. If I cook the brakes the paint will likely flake off. If your wanting to paint yours use HT paint (high temperature). The only reason I went with 2Pak was that you can't get HT paint or VHT paint in purple!
9. Introducing the new and improved Rado! Because of the fine weather i had the opportunity to finish the car off! whey! There is still a few issues however... the radiator fan wont turn on, will need to check fuses and temp sensors. the brakes are still leaking. Looks like one of the hoses from the brake bias valve near the back. coolant leak from where the top rad hose meets the engine. That plastic block T-piece that bolts to the engine. Only leaked when the pressure in the system went up though. new bonnet needs to be fitted but It needs painting first and I'll then need to replace the bonnet foam. Still, I've done loads over the last few days and I'm very happy with the results! BTW... you may have notice I didn't paint the carriers.... Well.. the fact is, I DID paint some carriers that my pal gave me off his MK2 with g60 set-up.... however, it would seem after cleaning them, washing them in acid, priming and painting them that they are not infact 280mm carriers but 256mm.... :mad2: I was not amused! So I had to use the ones off my old hubs... Sigh....
10. you knew what I meant misses! I bet you've got a list of known shops that prophesies the mantra "5 items or less" instead of "5 items or fewer" or a black book of greengrocers less than perfect use of an apostrophe! And as for the thread going a little of-topic... the answer was given in the second post, I saw my opportunity and pounced like a sticking tortoise on the lettuce of public forums!! Slap that in your 10,000 lines and smoke it! :shades:

14. hmmmmmm cake fisted! sounds delightful, whos first! i'll go for the batenburg first i think... make my way up to the fruit loaf!
15. I know it does look good hey! am very tempted at that price. Never heard of that engine being used before either... normally a S4 engine isn't it for 1.8T conversions? shame there isn't a picture of the engine on the advert. I may go and take a look at it! :)
16. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Corrado-G60-1-8T-20V-Turbo-engine-235bhp-/170659678229?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27bc1c0815 anyone know this rado and it's history? thanks
17. nice one! the loom shouldn't be to much trouble i would have thought... the cars are essentially the same for LHD and RHD. It's only the steering column and the interior dash thats different.
18. some numpty will buy it eventually...
19. Not fitted mine yet, trying to get the car MOT'd first. Will also need a good clean I think, the box looks a little tatty!
