Do you need to replace the washer after an oil change? -
Unless it's A4-80 grade stainless steel - identical corrosion resistance but with a higher tensile strength equivalent to that of 8.8 high tensile steel
-
Urmmmm NAH! BTW did you not get my PM?
-
I might change the brake pipe myself and get some fluid in the pipe but I'll leave it to a garage to bleed properly... I don't have a pressure bleeding kit and it's so much easier for a garage to do it.

Seems tempting to have direct replacement bolts but there are a few obvious questions I can think of... Are the ones that need to be high tensile steel (bumper bolts etc. ) made from that or mild steel? how much are the same bolts from VAG? They can't be that expensive, I bought bumper bolts the other day and they where £2 each. most small M6 bolts are about 40p. Also, if your wanting to just change the non-load baring bolts/nuts you can get non oem marine grade stainless steel for allot cheaper. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360228897167&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT ---------- Post added at 01:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:35 PM ---------- whoops Super beat me too it! ^^

I dunno, I don't think so... ---------- Post added at 06:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:54 PM ---------- I managed to look using my iPhone... Not like I'm doing anything else!!! 7hour drive gets boring after a while! Anywho, they seem to still be available... €37 apparently and it doesn't look like it's g60 specific... May give my mate a nod who's braking an early 16v

hi mate, just wondering if you've posted the oil pipe? -
Hi guys! Just so you know I decided to go a little nuts... Been spending money left right and centre! Not sure if i SHOULD be spending this much on a car that is technically worth less than £100 (according to "we buy any car.com"!) but I suppose I'm mad! The good news is that I think I now have everything I need to fix the problems mentioned on the MOT she failed 2 years ago. After Yan's and others advice I have just ordered the following: 2 x Mount Sleeves 2 x ARB Links 1 x Strut Top Mount Kit, Rear 2 x Strut Top Mounts 1 x Wishbone Bolt Kit 2 x 02818 Control Arms 2 x 02159 Threaded Bushes Completely new wish bones and all rubber mounts. These all made by Febi I'll have to make sure I have the new bolts for the suspension but otherwise I'm good to go I think! Next I've been and bought a new car cover... Yeah... the less said about that the better. ANYWHO! I went to an erotic charity ball the other day... Want to see!? Great stuff.... But perhaps not as great as this that came this morning, If these had boobs I don't know what I would do! Very cheep too considering. Managed to talk KW out of the £700 listed price down too £600 delivered.

Agreed, similar problem on my g60 caused by faulty lambda

Is possible to install an original sunroof??
Alex_G60_Fanatic replied to Corrado16's topic in Exterior
Non-sunroof C's are rare so i wouldn't, It keeps the price of your C high. also, it would take a £100 sunroof, £20 wiring loom and £100 scrap roof and then you'll have to either weld it in yourself or pay £500 for someone to do it for you. You can get a new 2ltre 16v Corrado for £1200..... It's just not worth the hassle ---------- Post added at 09:45 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:42 AM ---------- The original sun roof is good if you maintain it, all you need is a tub of grease from VW for a few quid and you shouldn't have any problems. I've heard more stories about the moon roof leaking than the original! It's only the mechanism seizing due to lack of maintenance that causes the problems. -
That body work is actually quite minor! And I certainly don't think it would take £500 to fix, they did a good job on the upultry though mate, nice one! That arch rust, could you not have a go at cleaning that up yourself? up to the priming stage at least then just give it to someone to paint that panel.
