  1. Not sure what this is ?, other than computer gobbely gook that the average 50 year old doesn’t understand. Lol .I got this message trying to post a reply.
  2. Actually you are probably right Dox .
  3. Good spot keyo . I managed to get a set from Heritage a year ago or maybe a bit more. Similar price .
  4. It certainly is Fender , I’m just hoping that we have cured the problem now . I didn’t go for a long drive last night , maybe 10 miles?. But I made sure I went to the roundabout that was making it splutter before and all’s well so far . Really strange that I would let the car warm up , then drive a mile and a half get to the roundabout, do a left turn and it was spluttering, there’s other left hand turns before it .
  5. Good news on the house mate . More important things have to take priority don’t they .It will soon be time to blow the cobwebs off .
  6. Yes , providing you remove the heater control from the facia and set it manually.
  7. As you say mate fingers crossed, it was driving me nuts lol. Resto have a huge reputation, people bring their cars from all over the country to have work done, from a small job to full bare metal , every nut n bolt restoration. They really know their stuff . How’s your car getting on ?.
  8. I think your problem will be that the plastic snail cog has broken. It’s a common problem as they are not very strong. You will have to take the facia out and have a look .
  9. Thought it was time i updated my thread . After checking the usual suspects i had to give in and put the car into a garage.Work is very busy as usual and as much as i like to sort out my problems on the car on my own or with a friend i just dont have the time at the moment and with it sat on the drive , not really drivable it was getting on my nerves . . ive been plastering a customers house on and off for a while now and got to know him fairly well . He's a mechanic , so we talked about the problems with the car and he said he will take the car and with my knowledge of the car and his old school mechanical skills it would get fixed .When i say knowledge of the car , im no mechanic but ive learnt a lot over 12 years about the car , that a mechanic thats never worked on one before might not know . As well as the sketchy idle the car started to splutter on corners and then up and down hills , this led me to think it was fuel starvation . so i found a new oem pump and that was installed . A working MAF was also fitted and a brand new oem lamda sensor . He also found a couple of wires that were suspect on the multi plug , which i some how missed . Ive been out in the car for two runs now and all seems to be well , she idles nicely and there is no more spluttering . Hopefully this issue is now solved . I have a local show to attend in july , after that the car will go into resto shack for a tiny rust spot on the rear arch lip where it meets the sill . Resto is the same company that i used to get all the rust cut out last year .Going out for a spin tonight was great , its lovely to hear that famous VR roar again !.I also had two new drive shafts fitted , which i should have done when i did all the underside work . I need to remove the off side wheel now and clean it , as its covered in grease from the split in the cv joint . Im now looking forward to summer motoring and the ccgb devon drive .
  10. Hi Chaz . I have a 92 as well. My thoughts are still going towards moisture in the electrics . If the car was running well before and then it got wet the chances are it’s still got moisture in it somewhere. The crank sensor is often first blamed but seldom the case . But it this instance considering where it’s situated I would check this first. I’m more mechanical so I can’t help with testing, but I would remove the sensor and check the plug for moisture, clean it with contact cleaner and see what happens.
  11. All corrado colours change in different lights . Mine is DBP too . You only get the true colours in brilliant sunlight.
  12. That is what I did. It looked like it does if you logged out.
  13. Hope you have deep pockets, they are Italian and look very expensive lol
  14. No , but did you know , you can also buy corrado shoes ?.
  15. Yep , I remember this .
  16. It could be the thermostat , header tank pressure relief or simply that the sender for the fans is shot .
  17. Yes Si , there’s a few different types , some look slimmer so might be better. I typed in , oval rubber grommets, or oval electrical grommets.
  18. I would agree with the above. If the fuel return line is not holding fuel , it will run back , leaving the rail with no fuel , so the pump has to work harder on first start .
  19. Just looked online, oval shaped as well.
  20. Well they have delivered the new one . I’m still at work so I won’t know if it’s right till I get home . But they kept to their word and delivered the next day .
  21. They are sending a courier to drop off the new shaft and pick the old one up tomorrow. I hope they send out the right one .
  22. Hopefully I will receive a phone call today for a swap for the correct shaft .
  23. It could be an option, I’m going to carry on looking for a MK2 part first though.
  24. Thanks for everyone’s input , it’s much appreciated. I’ve bought jons pump and the new VDU , off of eBay. Hopefully all will be well .
