I think the g60 in standard top spec kit will be worth more eventually than a similar vr6? Because they were first and will be rare as hens teeth unmolested and mint. But who knows. Who's got the money or space to keep one for that long

Good stuff. Nice n cheap fix too

If you've changed the relay and the ignition switch I would try changing the ignition barrel next, if it is worn through lots of use and or on a nice big bunch of keys it can have the same symptoms as the other two. But having said that, could also be a dodgy wire from the fuses to the pump. When the relay clicks can you here the pump prime?

Alpine 6x4 in rear, straight swap, just crimp new connectors on. Kappa infinity 52.9i, 5.25 inch bit of dremel, comes with screw thing for connecting, remove front tweeters and join wires up. Pioneer deh80prs head unit connects to iphone 6 by Bluetooth plays album playlist and hands free. Sounds fantastic compared to old stuff. The head unit is easy to fit in the end, I made a meal of it, as per. Plugs straight in to the old standard vw stereo blocks. Just swapped the 2 wires for constant and ignition live at the head unit on the connectors that came with it, simple once you know. And put a little sub in the boot to help the bass. The best value for money £500 the cars had spent on it.

I bet you used some choice words when it clicked/noticed them. You've got to laugh though,

Utter tosh. The guy was pushing a very expensive pram , wearing an Armani track suit, jealousy is no excuse. It doesn't make it right to smack a mans missus because she's better looking than your missus. Just because it happens, it shouldn't be acceptable

Bloody hell. I hope I don't get that and have to concider the cure. In a burning building looking out of the third floor window and all that. Good to here you're cured though Dougie.

Defy going to try that then

Your not on your own, I haven't driven mine in 11 months and I had it glass repsrayed months ago, still putting it back together😝

I think a couple of months after selling that, you will call your self all sorts of names. I had a M3, got rid of my last Corrado for one, once the initial thrill had sunk in, so did the regret -
Great, good for you. What colour do the indicators flash
-
The first thing I thought was 'Benetton' . Then I scrolled down, Jim your thought made me laugh and I want your engine
-
Does look nice . Is the battery connected then
-
If they were original
-
I would presume that they would be 'Nokia'speakers

Only you really know the state the rest of the car is in, what it could be worth with a really good respray and how much you love it. How strong is your itch for something different. All will reflect how long you might keep it for. If it's a big itch, you could buy a car cover and park it up for a year then sell/break it or respray when you've missed it I've just had mine glass out resprayed and it looks gorgeous, it doesn't half bring back the love. Finally I've not seen a 3k motor that ran for years without wanting loads a money/time, something that goes with old cars, all comes back to the itch. Good luck with the left or right turn 😉 😂

I know it obvious, but have you rechecked the firing order of the plug leads

It's alot easier when it's wet. Hhmm -
There must be Dave, manifold or down pipe thing, there's got to be something wrong with the front/start of the exhaust system. The next point of entry is a drain hole in the boot under the spare wheel.

Doh, need a resister too then, while you've got the fan off test the seal with some water if all is well fan and resister then, I didn't fancy doing the resister, at first I just got a good complete 2nd hand one.
-
I bought the seal on eBay about £12 and the fan about £30 I got lucky and held out for a Valeo one, same as the old one
-
Does it still work on all four speeds? If it does you don't need a resister, just a new fan. Could be you need a new seal on your leaf filter in the scuttle tray, if that's letting water past it drops straight into the fan.

It does sound funny now I've read it back later lol. I think it's got to be close when you change gear though, cumon make my fetishism a reality
