Welcome along! Sounds like you've lucked in on everything so far. :thumbleft:

From what I've heard, Peloquin are the most recommended. I believe they have a lifetime warranty, thats transferable between vehicles too. I've not heard good things about quaife or wavetrac tbh.

How much has been spent on your Corrado over the past 10 years?

Was looking through my receipts last night actually. In the 18 months I've owned it excluding purchase price, the car stands me at almost £5k! This doesn't include a lot of parts bought from sellers on the forum, and on ebay too. -
Came up the other day actually. DG autotech refurbish position sensors for £49. Worth giving them a bell as the parts are obsolete now.

Ah, well he was selling one of those last week and it went for a little less than Heritage are selling it for. Maybe realised he can't make a decent profit on those. :bonk:

I hate to say I told you so................ Sorry Rob!

Seems to have acquired another............. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-VW-Corrado-90mm-Front-Spoiler-Splitter-89-94-VR6-SLC-G60-16V-/301359846852?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item462a7255c4

Good to see your cracking on and making progress Rob! Excellent news you've taxed it too! As you said mate, its there to be driven. Look forward to seeing more updates mate. :thumbleft:

They don't look much like the OE ones tbh Andy, although to be fair, the OE rear ones aren't exactly perfect. The fronts are a different shape too though.

ABS Brake pedal position sensor - DG Refurb service

At a guess, I'd say DG Autotech........... -
Apparently next season. I agree it very much shows its age in that company. I think it performs as its age suggests in that company as well which unfortunately, doesn't bode well. Not sure if that's the intention of the sketch though, being in the budget division of the coupe category, it's positive that they chose the Corrado.

VR6 Jamie? If so, its not too bad. Make sure you support the engine though, as the front bolt also acts as the mount bolt, so if you removed it without supporting the front of the engine would drop forward! It can be a bit of a ballache getting that bolt back through and lined up, but persevere and you'll get it done mate.

Fair enough mate. Jon, they may have changed suppliers again then. Mine was as I said, but I'm positive I remember reading others got valeo, which was the reason I went there.
-
Worth ringing GSF Mic to see which they have in stock. Some have got a Valeo one using their Premium brand. I got a Behr/Hella one, but it's a reputable company so I'm happy enough with that.
-
My dash needs to come out next week too Mic, brothers in arms!

That's the one. It's just a case of tracing the supply back from where you've installed the new loom. I don't know where it's fed from, but it all sounds like a simple wiring fault to the lamp.

I know it has a Vauxhall badge on it, but I do love the Monaro. That sound is absolutely epic, and I think I'd rather have one of those over the M for sheer grin factor.

Can you hear the relay going Chris?

Thanks again guys, appreciate the positive comments. :thumbleft: I'm not sure why they didn't do it, I gave them a list of bits I wanted doing as I know some would cut corners on as it would be easy to mask, like shuts, inner door and tailgate, the bottom part where the windscreen sits, and I'm sure I put slam and underside of bonnet. Maybe they did forget but most likely it was them running out of time (they quoted 2-4 weeks and it took 10 though, so I think it was an inbetween job). They're sorting it at a later date for free though so its not the end of the world. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in getting it back together though! Just need to keep the itch at bay over the weekend as it's "family time"

Finally, after 10 weeks she's back in the workshop ready for re-assembly. Workmanship is very good, although there are a few minor imperfections but not really in noticeable areas. I've got to take it back to them to do a few bits once its back on the road that they missed, and they've agreed to sort. I'll explain shortly, but I don't want to get negative about it. I've got to remember its a 2.5k paint job not a concourse job, yet still very well done. Anyway, it started raining lightly on the way back and as the sunroof mech was out, I needed to get it in asap. Photos are therefore of it indoors unfortunately, and phone pics too. Its times like this I wish I had a decent camera. Anyway, You may have seen, there are a couple of areas around the door shuts that are a little rough, so could have done with polishing/sanding slightly, although its not as bad as the pics suggest - most of it is just sanding dust. Its just the hard to reach areas really which as I said, a concourse car would obviously have done. There are one or two areas where there are pig tails from sanding under the paint, but its very minimal. There is one slight run on the lacquer on the edge of the tailgate which they've agreed to put right, as well as this below. I think they've been a bit lazy with the slam panel, as they masked the parts which won't be visible, and didn't do the top of it. I know its there though, so it'll really bug me. They've agreed to sort that too, so I'll remove it and give it to them to do. They also didn't do the underside of the bonnet either which considering they top part was bare metal, seems a bit daft. Other than that though I am quite pleased, and I would use them again. They've given me a touch up pot too in case I have any accidents whilst installing everything! In other news, my splitter arrived from Heritage today, so I'll plough on with installing most of it Monday.

If it gets stuck, you can close it manually by removing the insert in front of the switch. It'll give you access to the motor, and there should be a hex key which you can wind it closed with.

Hi mate, I had a look for the headlight unit yesterday but couldn't find it. I had a tidy up a couple of weeks ago and I must have binned it. Sorry buddy, good luck with the search for one though.
-
I know someone who can trump that too! - VR6South. He's done about a thousand miles in 5-6 years! Lol
-
I'm sure there would be for a good quality alternative at a reasonable price. Does he have a website Rob?
-
I'd be devastated, it would take me almost a year to run it in! Lol. Top work though Jim, I'd seemed to have missed a fair bit of what you've done recently so just had a read of the last few pages. Hats off to you sir! :salute:
