Look good! I think I'll have to invest in these as a run-around set to save my genuine script set for shows etc.......

Quite a productive day today. All exterior trim is now on, including wing mirrors and splitter (not pictured) and all red rears. I've stripped the dash out, and removed almost all the interior looms. I've also replaced the entire ABS sysem loom, and made good a few bits with proper soldering and heatshrink. I'll get some close ups of some of the looms. Honestly you've probably never seen anything like it in your life! Absolutely a fire waiting to happen! Re-wrapped most of the new looms too, and roughly put everything back in ready for routing around the dash when it goes back in. I've had to take the fusebox mount out and sraighten it up too as that was bent well out of shape. I'll then have the unenvious task of plugging it all back into the fusebox, whilst trying to keep the wiring tidy behind it. Once thats done I need to change the ABS pump, then fingers crossed I'll have a working system! I've got some Kunifer pipe and a proper flare nut spanner so I'll be able to do the 288mm upgrade that beat me the other day, as the hoses didn't want to part with the hard pipes. I think I'll then be almost there............. Pics. :) My speaker wiring! I've also found out I need a new set of wiper stalks which luckily Goldie is bringing down with him as well as a new set of dash undertrays, as the connector plug clips had snapped off, so whoever it was decided it would be a good idea to glue them in! :censored:

The internal gubbins on mine are held in by 4 small screws. Once the glass is out, I just removed the internals which released the plastic surround on one side. The other side is held in by 2 small screws.

Oh yeah, happy birthday mate! I put mine on today actually. Had a right mare with the support bar and getting it lined up though. Its battered to hell due to previous owners after stupid lows.
-
Now that's epic! I'm planning a trip to Great Yarmouth in the not too distant now!

I thought it was.sarcasm James. Which as we all know, is the lowest for of wit! .

Welcome! Glad your enjoying ownership so far, fingers crossed you don't hit too many obstacles along the way. As far as fogs go, due to the fact they're obsolete now, and regularly break due to their position so low down, people charge a premium for decent replacements. Just keep checking here and ebay. Both mine were cracked when I bought it, but I managed to find them eventually for £30/35 each. Just need to be patient mate. In the meantime, get some pics up! :thumbleft:

It was from the Missus's Nan Rog. She got it from Ron or Ivor, I always forget which is which.

Just been looking at pics of my old C, and found this one amongst them. Got me thinking................ Yes I finished it, but it did take me about a week! lol.
-
Thats gutting mate. That pic brings back bad memories for me too. That was going into the guy in front after being hit from behind.

Doesn't look stock from what I can see. Remnants of an old alarm system perhaps?
-
I'd be very interested if the price is similar to the mk2 Golf ones! Thanks for the update Anna. :thumbleft:

Mine came with HIDs of the pikey variety. 6k eBay specials and the previous owner cut holes in the headlight back covers with what looks like a blunt spoon. I took them out straight away due to as Kev says, MOT regs stating they must be self levelling and have a wash function.
-
Ok, looks like I'll be biting the bullet on that one then. Cheers bud.

How the hell did you get the brake hose off of the hard pipe when doing the 288 upgrade! I've been trying today, but having an utter nightmare with the union nuts siezed to the old hose. Only option I can think of is rip the lot out, and make up new hard pipes. :(

Better get that cleaned up sharpish, she'll throw a fit!

Welcome along! Sounds like you've lucked in on everything so far. :thumbleft:

From what I've heard, Peloquin are the most recommended. I believe they have a lifetime warranty, thats transferable between vehicles too. I've not heard good things about quaife or wavetrac tbh.

How much has been spent on your Corrado over the past 10 years?

Was looking through my receipts last night actually. In the 18 months I've owned it excluding purchase price, the car stands me at almost £5k! This doesn't include a lot of parts bought from sellers on the forum, and on ebay too. -
Came up the other day actually. DG autotech refurbish position sensors for £49. Worth giving them a bell as the parts are obsolete now.
-
Ah, well he was selling one of those last week and it went for a little less than Heritage are selling it for. Maybe realised he can't make a decent profit on those. :bonk:

I hate to say I told you so................ Sorry Rob!
