  1. Same here, doesn't look like a factory plug.
  2. Does look very good. Will be awesome once it comes back together. Whilst I love my C, I won't ever love it enough to spend that kind of loot on it, so I'm glad there are those about that are willing to do it. Well done :)
  3. Finally got round to installing a stereo. Great to have some tunes to listen to after two years of silence in the rado.
  4. ah cool, the thought of something disappearing into one of them isn't a pleasant one.
  5. Good start on the strip down. I'd stick some rags down the inlet holes though before something gets dropped in there :)

    Bulb wattages

Osram Night Breaker Headlamp Bulb H4/472 60/55W are the ones I use with an upgraded loom, they work very well :)
  7. I'd do the anthracite, should look decent on a light car. Black looks sh1te IMO :)
  8. These are the original 280's....
  9. They don't look like the 288 conversion I have, they look more like the standard setup. These are the 288's on mine....
  10. I have one like the one on the right in my VR with a blackberry coloured insert (not that that means it was original of course)
  11. Great thread, this is a job on the cards for mine :)
  12. Very cool. I used to be stationed at RAF Scampton, the Vulcann left shortly after. The red arrows were also there. Loved it.
  13. I'm sure the manual says to slow down if the temp goes over 140, so low 100's should be no sweat all day long.
  14. Cool, thanks. Desperate to get some protection on :)
  15. Any ideas on time frames for the smoked versions?
  16. Not sure why tbh. I assume because the connectors are different. I can take a look at the weekend to confirm, I have an old style mirror switch still, so I can compare them.
  17. My late car came with early leather cards, as mentioned, switches were different. Whoever did mine put late pods on to keep the original switches (and left the early switches in situ to fill the holes). The only other difference was the early cards didn't have holes for the lock pin in the top edge, so they made holes. Oh, and it also meant the mirror switch wasn't connected. I ditched the front leather cards and just put late cloth cards in (until I manage to find some late grey leather cards)
  18. Glad these haven't died out completely :) I'll wait for the smoked ones, any ideas how long they are likely to be?
