I've just had a look at mine as all the undertrays are still out and the cable for the directional control goes to the middle of the bottom of the air distribution box. Probably best accessed from the passenger side, that way you can pop out the duct across the passenger footwell and get your hand in to lube the flap :norty: 8)

Result!!

Can't see it as a grey area mate. If you wheels/tyres stick out from the arches by nearly a inch plod will be interested and it won't pass a proper MOT.

I upgraded my rear calipers to mk3 golf ones years ago. Would I have had to change the carriers or would I still have the originals? Long time ago! Pads need changing, the last time I did them the pins looked manky, cleaned up ok a but i promised myself i'd change them next time, rubbers too!! I'm just wondering if the Audi pins would fit whatever I've got at the rear!!! Do you have a number for the Audi items please???

WERID ELECTRIC PROBLEM HELP?****** UPDATE *****
colinstubbs replied to nmahi's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Got to be a short circuit or some reverse-feed shenanigans. Electrics is White-man's magic when it all goes wrong :ignore: , Damn that magic-string!! -
You may find that a small amount of filing on the caliper/carrier and or the pad backing plate makes things a whole lot sweeter. Also if the disc isn't flat and has a bit of a lip just chamfer the pad to match to get good contact. Could also be slider pins I guess need to look at mine sometime. :(

Crap! Your not still paying nearly £1.20 a litre like last July are you? Talk about pessimist! The oil gets bought in advance so the drops take time to filter through, although I'll concede they prob go up quicker......or maybe it just feels like it?? Fact is it's cheaper now than it was. -
What are people doing to screw the Zimmerman discs?? I've been running drilled discs with Pagid FR pads for years with no probs at all. Just about to put my third disc set on the front and my last set of FR pads on the rear. Maybe I brake like a :camp: except in emergencies   That's looking ahead for you! Nice and progressive pedal feel etc, etc. I worked through the front and rear pads and discs as they wore out from when I bought the C and they all made sucessive improvements on stock. Braid hoses work nicely improving things too. 8)

Nothing like that surprises me anymore, the left hand seems to have very little contact with the right if you know what I mean. -

I've got my tweeters firing back off the windscreen on a couple of brackets made from some ally sheet. Finish was not an issue as you can see!! The notches correspond to the grill tabs so it's all secure and tidy once it's covered up! 8) climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdftweeter mount 001 (Large).jpg[/attachment:2fiexpol] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdftweeter mount 002 (Large).jpg[/attachment:2fiexpol] tweeter mount 004 (Large).jpg[/attachment:2fiexpol]

What is the 3rd wire on the stereo -> amp cable?

It's constant. -
To be honest i think the adhesive will be okay. The main trouble was the fabric contracted and so it was virtually impossible to get the overlap equally around all the edges. If it wasn't stretchy I could have easily laid it over the plastic and achieved the overlap but as it was it was a bastard! I've been thinking of maybe using speaker grill fabric, pre-stretching it on some sort of wooden frame and then gluing it to the trim piece then it will be easier to wrap around the edges and I'll still get an even stretch effect on the fabric. CharleyVR6 suggested using laminate flooring backing for the foam but that may be a bit too firm. Trouble is whatever I use only needs to be 2-3mm thick!!! :brickwall:

Holy sh1te!! Ouch! :gag: Including the cost of a new VAG bumper! :gag: :gag: Which makes it V. reasonable! Ah yes if that's with a new bumper Mr VauxTwat got off lightly!! -
While my headlining is out I cleaned up my sunroof trim and because all the foam backing fell apart the trim material fell off. I glued it back on with spray contact adhesive but a) it's a bit wonky and b) it's coming off again. :bad-words: I was thinking of starting from scratch again with new material and pehaps some more very thin foam. Has anyone got any thoughts on what might be the best stuff to use for this?

My early grey leather interior has a grey leather gaitor. I can't see them not colour matching the gaitors whether the interior is leather or not.
