PICS!!!!!

I'm dying to post pics showing it in all its glory but it would spoil the impact of seeing it in the metal before the pics appear on the forum. Only two weeks (hopefully) until its return.

quality of workmanship looks utterly amazing, but I'm getting the feeling we're not going to be seeing anything particularly ground breaking here?

I mean, a6 door handles, porker mirrors....it's nothing we haven't seen before many many times is it?

Not really trying to break new ground, just building the car i want. Still, theres not a standard panel on it. The dash is genuinely original.

Picked the car up today, just had big bore throttlebody fitted along with new alternator, new distributor, fuel pressure regulator and new plugs. Not running perfect tho' :( Then a 7hr stint of cleaning + fitting roof lining + A and C pillars. Ton's to do, less then a week to go, so it will be at GTi Festival semi finished.

Show's nearly here but i've got loads still to do just to make it presentable, probably be upto scratch for this year by E38. Tomorrow list is fit samco's, powerflex exhaust mount, paint gearbox, route CD change to boot (was formerly in glovebox), get seats, doorcards, centre console, parcel self+supports to MJ and get the dash out and connect the solenoid.

NOOO!!!! don't paint the gearbox!!! that is one of the tackiest things you could ever do. paint it black by all means, just don't cake it in cheap silver paint. I see SO many peopl do this and it ruins many an engine bay.

get some wire wheels and scrub it up, it'll almost go shiny.
