    C**TS !!

I'm sorry to see those pictures, I really am.....Its happened to me in the past and a red mist descended and didnt lift until I had beat seven sorts of s**t outta the guy. Best thing was he turned up with his dad the next day who had a cheque for me for the damage....felt a bit guilty then. Can't you post a pic of them hanging from a hook in your garage? maybe it'll warn off other visiting chavs?

    alloy numbers

hi all - quick question... will a replacement wheel with a lesser offset than the standard 43mm offset be okay as opposed to a wheel with a larger offset than standard eg will a wheel such as 8x17 5X114.3 MM ET 35 fit without spacers on a standard VR6 hub? cheers
  3. RW1, Thanks mate...it did the trick but I'm not sure how long it'll last. Do you think its worthwhile taking out the box and giving the terminals a good clean???
  4.  No Top Gear repeat on a Monday?? Damn
  5. So when are you gonna turn this into a weekend sideline, Andy? I'd pay you to do mine but I wouldn't have the know it all to locate all that I would need What controls did you use? The VW ones on other cars?
  6. Thankyou kindly, joebloggsVR69, that's very helpful.....I'll let you know if I get any success.
  7. joebloggsVR69, did you replace the coil yourself? Got any part numbers or tips to do this? cheers
  8. Anyone got a part number for the transponder coil?? yes Dr Mat...I have done a search :)
  9. Well, finally got home! hope it starts in the morning....cheers for the help guys In the end she started up on her own after a couple of hours I can only suspect that its either the factory immobiliser or the fuel pump. Its obviouslyan intermittent problem- is this consistent with immobiliser/fuel pump problems. Do I have to replace the transponder in the key or the one in the steering column....? I've had a Clifford 500 installed over a year ago - I hope its nothing to do with this and is just the OE immobilser.... Will keep you updated
  10. in bournemouth but working in ( or stranded) in Gosport
  11. Hi all I'm stuck at work waiting for the RAC, but don't really fancy being towed 50 miles home....  Car starts but then dies immediately - feels like a fuel delivery problem Anyone got any other ideas or quick remedies? cheers

  14. silver VR6 in Lincoln's Inn Fields with Mille Miglia 17"ers...anyone on here?
  15. I think Jay ( G60Renshaw) has done this one - to very good effect I may add
  16. For people whose fan control only works on 4 - don't change the rheostat in the blower before you've excluded out this quicker and easier problem. I learned the hard way! http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=
  17. I would replace the hall sender anyway (30 quid) - it sounds like you had exactly the same problem as mine....I replaced plugs, leads, coilpack, fuel filter, cleaned out isv and intake system until I replaced the coolant temp sensor and the hall sender which finally resolved the problem. worth a try because there are so many possible faults that can cause such symptoms - a look around this forum will tell you that your problem is extremely common nb dont know which engine you have but the above applies to the VR
  18. coolant temp and cam position sensors - both cheap to replace and worth the gamble
  19. i'll wait for the new M3 first

    vw sat nav

cheers chargedup...would ideally like to fit it in the gap at the bottom under the ashtray but i doubt it'd fit
  22. I think its about time they revised the classification for the Corrado- I mean Group 19????????? The C came out when the precursor to the modern chav was at his peak as far as automobile crime was concerned - now that they've got their own cars (genetically modified using Halfrauds and Ripspeed) car crime has gone down...and so should the insurance groups.....
  23. basically I said it was the last time that VW expressed that original GTI mentality that got them so far.... At the time it was the best FWD handling chassis tied to a superbly flexible engine...and it can still hold its own against many of the cars today. After they stopped making them, VW kindof lost their way....making 'safe' and conservative BORING cars. Then a few years later they panicked and came out with the R32 (once all the opposition had better cars) and now are desperately wanting to restore their sporting credentials with the MK5 GTI....but lets face it its just not the same anymore..... Me fears that VW is destined to follow down the path of passat...bora and phaeton....until they decide to come up with a 4wheel drive ORIGINAL coupe with the DSG and at least 300 horses for around 25-30K then I'll get my wallet out and stick the Storm in the garage for a well earned retirement...and they should call it the MISTRAL
