  1. Yup.... it's some tatty G60 innit? JOKE!! Nah it looks good mate 8) It's also nice to see the 2 Corrados for sale in the back have got similar ride height to mine
  2. Ahh excellent, that's a do-able drive for a free curry! Probably right about not being the manager tho :(
  3. sounds good to me, where in the country are you? And most importantly do they deliver?
  4. Might be worth adjusting the striker pin on the door frame first. You just need a spanner to loosen it, then it'll move around a bit. Have a play, it should improve the slam/opening.
  5. Yeah, I can imagine you have fun and games with your driveway, that road is a nightmare!
  6. Yup, I'm going to do a similar thing with http://www.carlimits.com/ They do days at North Weald airfield, which is nice and close to me and only costs £150. Went down to see the guy yesterday and he does some seriously impressive things with a car! He also does a lot of advanced Police driver training, which doesn't sound that great til he said he has to teach them all to drive from scratch again
  7. Too damn right. Wait until some inconsiderate, ignorant feckwit blocks *your* drive and you'll do more than write a note...... True true, when I've got my C out there in the car port area cleaning it, I move it as soon as I'm in anyone's way. I wasn't too happy when I came back to my car after work one day to fine a note left on my car when I was parked on the opposite side of a very wide road, actually on the other side of the white line saying 'don't park here you're blocking access' that it riled me slightly. Especially when it's taped on with about 4 rolls of tape  The largest thing that goes in that driveway is a Transit van... grrr.
  8. I like dr_mat's suggestion, get your C on the track or rent something instead! :D jimsG60 is suggesting a Corrado track day in November and Donnington IIRC, so that could be a good opportunity. That'll only set you back about £100, but you'll need to sort out track insurance too. Bookatrack are IMHO one of the best track day organisers, as they won't take any reckless driving (doesn't mean you can't go fast!). They also hire out Caterhams ;)
  9. I've done the Palmer Audi one that I was given as a birthday present one year. It was pretty good fun, you got to take a TT round Brands to learn the track and then you were let loose in a Palmer Audi. They didn't like you revving them though 'please keep the revs below 4000rpm or we'll bollock you' Good fun either way, just not sure if it's really worth the money.
  10. Now go away you silly English kniggets before I am forced to taunt you for a second time
  11. Now there's my kinda thinking ;)
  12. Ohhh you meant the other half of the mongrel... ;)
  13. Looks good, but can I ask why you're sitting in the back? Is that some American thing? ;) :)
  14. If you are worried about keeping your wheels clean, I do like Mr. Haywire's trick of putting Swissol on the wheels. The dust just rinses off then! 8)
  15. In standard road tune they're nothing exciting, but it's exactly the same engine that went into the mental WRC cars. As people have said, there is really very little effort needed to get silly levels of power out of them. Then they'll eat you for lunch...
  16. Ah, but if you're talking about exclusivity... the Bimmer is common as much, where as only the select few have Corrados 8)
  17. Yup, I'll go with that. Greenstuff pads definitely give off the least dust, so they will keep your alloys looking nice and clean.
  18. this had me in stitches........MAX POWER motorsport magazine         Probably because they're green and gave better under-arch bling. Definitely steer clear in that case!
  19. dazzyvr6 well anyone can cut and paste from the manufacturer's website... have you got any road-based test results/reviews though? Edit: Would like to point out I'm trying to be an arse, but I've not heard good things about the greenstuff pads and I wanted to know if there are actually any head-to-head comparisons? How well they work is also very dependent on what disks you mate them to.
  20. I've heard lots of scary things about the EBC pads needing to warm up before they work properly. Great if you're on the track and giving them some constant jip, but not too great when that t0sser doing 65 pulls out infront of you on the motorway...
  21. well i have completely black front wheels and i washed the car last weekend.. I don't tend to give mine much stick on the drive to/from work usually because the engine is cold or there's not enough road. My drives home do seem to be getting longer though ;) I'll see what my wheels look like when Friday rolls round.
  22. i can't see how he can be wanting to compare a junior SUV with a Sports Coupe but then again looking at where the X and the C are on a Keyboard maybe he is meaning the Ci............... :? :? :? :? :? Yeah he probably is, still fun to rip the p1ss out of the X3 though
  23. I'll second that. They're supposed to make quite a lot of dust, but I've not noticed it particularly on mine and I haven't had the standard pads on to compare.
  24. And if Brady here is actually talking about an X3 there's no contest! That thing will roll into a ditch before the C even thinks about letting go around a corner... Everyone inside will be ok, but the kids might not make it to school in time
