no probs m8 :) must be the makers number on the gsf reg then? you can normally give the vw number to gsf and they will find the part you're after 8) good to have the gsf part number though :D why do i keep saying 'number'  dr_mat,i think the 14.5 volts is the spiked voltage at which the reg starts the charging circuit? not sure though... Neil.
-
here ya go m8 :) oe vw bosch and replacement gsf regulators. Neil.
-

no probs m8 :) just had a look about, and i cant find any mention of an over run switch... :( maybe just physically check out the wiring to the rad fan,and to the relays(which i think they use?) also, you could test the fan switch in the rad if you have a continuity tester? Neil.
-
 only in a mirror?
-
im not too up on the vr6's wiring side of things  do they have a fan over run switch? probably somewhere above the inlet manifold...worth checking the wiring to this if it has one. :) Neil.

yep,1 meter.available from vw,you may have to explain to them very slowly  that it needs to be 3.5mm internal diameter (iirc) and ask for a few inch over 1 meter too,see below  bit of pipe, and bolt that fits(screws?) tightly in the open end,i used a couple of tie wraps also... i never did this, and as soon as it fired up i remembered that someone mentioned it before  but thinking about it,the charger is spinning wether the engines firing or not,so will be fine to just let it tick over i think :) Neil.

i cant believe what im seeing tbqfh  mechanic?!

if anybody needs a reel for either o/s or n/s then i think i have some good ones. :) £20 a side,or £35 for both. all inc of postage. please pm me if interested as i will have to make time to double check that they are good ones. :) Neil.

the worst one is the one thats reached by going down through the slam panel  my tip is to use a posi drive on them rather than a phillips if you have one the correct size (a pozi socket / 1/2 inch ratchet is good) obviously if they are too far gone then its a case of trying something else...mmmm,the top one, think you could use a hack saw blade and turn it into a flat head screw? just have to be carefull for scratching the slam panel. :!: maybe drill the bottom one out? Neil. :)
-
bugger  wd40/wrap a rag around the stud/file a flat on 2 sides/and get a nice tight grip with some vice grips... slowly rotating clockwise/anti clockwise. should have it out :) Neil.

is your fuel pump still buzzing m8? ive lost touch with the valver lumps now but... do they have an air screw on the throttle body? hasnt upped and left has it? can be prone for it on other v.a.g motors. as for the metering head, yep they are very precise, but if you throw a garage a fiver they should be able to check/adjust the c/o level for you. anywhere between 1%-2% is good. Neil. :) -
yeah,id be inclined to think its ignition related too... if it was something like a leaky injector or overfuelling due to incorrect set up etc,it would more than likely at least fire and attempt to start. its worth checking the plugs/connections to coil/dizzy etc...and also maybe replacing the 3 senders on the side of the cylinder head. they are all the same part and one of them gives signals to the ecu, just cant remember which one (thats why i say replace them all) only cheap. :) as soon as you know its going to non start, whip a plug out and earth it to metal, and check for a good spark. Neil.

-80mm springs on standard shocks will ride very very badly! id say the absolute max you should drop on standard shocks is -35-40mm. if the air ratchet dosnt work(hopefully should) then just grip the piston with some rag/vice grips, but grip it at the very top where its not going to travel past the seals... but saying that  again,-80mm is a bad idea on standard shocks. Neil.

glad to help phil! hope you are enjoying the corrado :D and thanks for the quick payment  Neil.
-
not a big fan of that,i think the smoothed front bumpers make the front look a bit? bulky/bland? know what you're saying about being wilder etc lee,but i think as long as you do what ever you do to a shit hot standard then its all good,as far as show cars go. Neil. :)
-
cool, glad the parts were put to good use phil :thumbleft: and happy that they arrived soon enough for ya. glad its sorted,i know all too well what its like to have crappy problems  enjoy :D Neil.

mines an april 92 g60,and has late bonnet/bumper/wings/fogs etc... never been in an accident or anything, and all panels etc look original. would be interesting to see a list/database showing years and early/late specs maybe? Neil.
-
those pics are wicked m8 8) has the filler cap area been mentioned? is this a possible rust area? its just that on a couple ive removed the metal ring and popped the rubber boot back to find the area absolutely jam packed with wet mud  worth a look/clean out i think... Neil.
-
yep,drives you feckin mad

forgot to say,mines a 320 too. Neil.
