  1. told you that you would get loads of orders when you started a for sale thread. Karl, one of your first customers and still very happy with the loom :)
  2. Aaaaaaaargh, went to the car today just to make sure everythings ready for next friday, the battery has completely died so i went and bought a new one put it on the car and it started first time after about 2 weeks :) turned it off did some messing in the cabin and then went to start it again and for some reason the starter motor went bang and its not doing anything at all :censored: so it looks like i need a new starter motor?? then after that i had a phone call from the guy who was lending me he's trailor on friday saying that i cant borrow it on friday, but i can have it saturday, thats not much chuffing use to me as its booked in at stealth next friday. getting seriously p'd off.

    porsche brakes

so you wanna try and fit the front brakes from off a 996 then? well if you wanna do it you can, BUT you will need a minimum 18" wheel to fit those front brakes as they are huge. the rears are very good brakes on any corrado even if charged/turbo'd.

    porsche brakes

here ya go http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-Caliper-t ... 240%3A1318 buy these carriers and some good 312mm discs/pads and you will be stopping very quickly. karl
  7. just picked up some oe santa monica's 7j x 17" et38, and thought these feel lighter than the RC's, guess what they are lighter coming in at 7.8kg. and the 9j x 16 gottis with a 215/40/16 tyre weighs a mighty 19.5kg  plus to make them look right on the car the bloody sump sits waaaay to close to the tarmac :( so guess what may be for sale very soon........... karl
  8. yeh i saw some stupid wank, sorry meant yank? with a petrol leafblower going straight into he's manifold & he said it gave him an extra 120bhp on some honda one word springs 2 mind. tosser
  9. just a little update, i have just got the car booked in with stealth for its re-map next friday morning :D cant bloody wait.
  10. heres the link for you chris http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=190208
  11. hi chris, go onto ed38 as theres a set of porsche calipers for sale, and at £175 delivered there a good buy. karl
  12. little shites, i'm lucky as most people locally know who's car it is, and lets just say that where my cars are concerned i can turn violent. (not bigging myself up) but i used to be not be a very nice person in my younger days, but i have got older and mellowed. but with the rc caps, i used a little bit of silicone sealent then used one of those thick plastic RC centre caps tools to really tighten them up with, there was no way you could get them of by hand. But like you said Leon, if they cant get them off what will they do to the car instead?? if it helps?? theres a really nice bloke who attends all the vw shows (cant remember he's business name) but he's the really freindly london coloured guy, i bought my rc centre caps from him for £20 for all 4  karl
  13. not long to go now then Pete 8) you will be like a dog with the proverbial 2 dicks then very soon  if you need a MAF straight away, i have the one from my r32 you can use if its any good 2 ya. karl
  14. sell the kids then
  15. i think you will/may struggle to get the r32 brakes behing these wheels as dont forget the r32 discs are 340mm?? in diameter, and the r32 callipers are bloody huge and i mean bloody huge  and also the 3.2 TT's etc etc all had 18" alloys not 17". and also they weigh an absolute ton, they have gotta be nearly twice the weight of a 312mm set up. karl
  16. here ya go mate, they are obviously Brabus wheels 8) 9.5" x 20" et45, in all honesty these are so bloody light its unbelievable, if your intrested let me no and i can give you more info karl
  17. sorry 4 the simple question but just dont have time tomorrow 2 try and fit my new alloys only 2 find out my standard bolts are 2 long 4 my gottis? how deep is the thread on a vr hub? as my standard wheel bolts are sticking out about 15mm past the adaptors! karl
  18. i'm sure you're right graham, but its a case of so near but so far :(
  19. YOUR A VERY SICK MAN IF THAT FLOATS YOUR BOAT :pukeright:
  20. just to say thanks for all the kind words and offers guys, its very very much appreciated :D i was thinking i could sell the gottis, and this would sort out my imminent problems?? but then i thought balls to that  my priority is to get xmas out of he way then just concentrate on sorting the car out. Kev i'm gonna be getting a wideband sorted this/next week, would the innovate lc-1 be ok?? or is it worth while spending more on another type?? but as you can tell at the moment i have to be tight, or should i say seeking out another bargain :) i really appreciate your more than generous offer to come up to me again mate, but lets just see i can do some money juggling first. and yeh Graham you can help me mate, 1k should do it all
  21. right then some updates, 1, the alloys have not been fitted due to being typicaly messed around by some t**t on ed38, yeh hows that for a surprise :( but after many pm's etc etc he has sent them by courier today so will get them tomorrow, so the new alloys should be getting put on over the weekend :) 2, the missus was made redundant last friday. so things are gonna be a bit tight for a while :( serves me right for spending a grand on some alloys on a car that does not even run properly :cuckoo: 3, the very good xmas bonus that we normally get from work every xmas is not going to be happening either this year :( so 1 + 2 + 3 = looks like the car will not be running properly until next year :( i just cant afford to tax/mot/insure, and get it mapped at the moment :censored: so if anybody has any clues as to where i can get a good base map from for the r32 i would really appreciate it. its just so depressing at the moment, especially after kev, graham and dave took time out to get it running. karl :(
  22. sorry mate i completely fogot 2 get back 2 ya, on page 12 in my members thread there's some pics of some rs turbo seats i bought off ebay 4 £26 i know of an identical set for sale in black leather! any good to ya?
  23. black definitely, would go with the green very well,
  24. No bloody wonder there sitting so high  so a couple of questions mate, do you want to be able to have height adjustability?? if you do, how good are you at welding?? as you will be doing lots of cutting welding if you go this route. if you dont care about height adjustability?? then get onto german e-bay and get some recaro seat bases for a mk2 golf and just chop the rear leg down to the height you want, and weld it back together. karl
  25. you're hunt could be over very quickly! i will pm you later karl
