thats a story i was telling 15 years ago - the story was that Honda sent "the smallest drill in the world" to Rolls Royce/BAE, basically selling themselves up as the leading engineering force. There were press releases in industry magazines etc. Rollsy Royce returned the drill with a hole all the way through the middle with a Rolls Royce compliments slip and nothing else. No fuss, no drama, no publicity. I was actually on a course at Rolls Royce Filton in Bristol at the time so it was sort of from the horses mouth.....

the last track i went to had a vast range of times - plenty in the 11-12 category many below many above i don't think there's any "average street car" that does 11-12 sec theres certainly many modified road going, day to day cars doing 11-12 seconds.

sorry to be sim but i could do with replacing the rear bootlid glass - in the thread theres lots of reference to rear glass - is this rear quarters or the rear bootlid? How easy is it to do the rear bootlid glass?

water injection also increases the density of the charge and therefore the oomph! It was widely used and developed on aero-engines - the cooling is a separate but equally useful benefit, especially for blown motors as you get the cooling AND the greater density - like driving on a permanently cold, thick foggy day.

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!! We need a summary - i've totally lost the plot here!!!!! As I have a CP ecu, my MAFS are reasonably cheap/same as obd2/can be replaced by beetle internals ? i need a standby spare and want to know what to keep an eye out for. ...but a replacement ecu is hard to find?????????

which manual is it Paul - the blue one that covers passat and corrado? Thars the one i have and the pictures and detail are good from memory - if this isn't the one you have, let me know and i'll photocopy some pages
