Damn this sounds familiar. It happened to me tonight, that after a spirited run back from Harrogate, I was pootling though the centre of town and the warning light stared flashing (but the fan wasn't on). The radiator was hot, as was the water in the header tank, but the temp was reading only about 75 degrees (as was the oil temp). Is there any way of checking if the temp sender gague is working? (iIn laymans terms please :) ). Cheers, Tom

They are nice, one of the few 'modern' cars I'd think about getting. IF I ever move on from a C, then it's either that or an Alfa 147...

Good choice of car :) I wanted one for 10 years before finally getting one... Welcome to the forum, Tom

Can anyone suggest what might be causing interference with my head unit? Whenever it's turned on and the car's running, there's a static interference that mirrors the revs rising and falling. You can still here the radio/cd over the top, but it's beginning to get on my nerves a little... It was fine when I picked up the car on Satuday, but I think a bump or pothole in Edinburgh's wonderful road surface must have started it. When iI first noticed it, it was only faint and could be stopped by opening and closing the glove compartment, but it's now a constant addition. HU is a Clarion DX418R. Mods, if this is in the wrong place, please move it to problems. Cheers, Tom

Count me in as interested for the Canadian one, and of course the forum one for 2006... Cheers, Tom

Spotted this outside Rail House in Crewe while I was on a training course on Tuesday 11th November about 4.30pm. Anyone?

Cracking, I'll give them a try when the time comes. Cheers, Tom

Henny, fight the b*stards as hard as you can. Most of the drekkers that you deal with will be expecting you to lie down and take it. Letters are the way forward pointing out in clear terms exactly why their argument is [boris Johnson mode] An inverted pyramid of piffle [/boris Johnson mode], especially if you include phrases such as 'I refer to your letter of the 27th ultimo.' Very best of luck man, Tom

I'm going to do a lot of shopping around at the beginning of May...but I have to wait until then, as I'll get nothing back if I cancel the policy due to having made a total loss claim. I'm going to steer well clear of Highway Robbery, and Jim, I recommmend you change when renewal time is due. I'm going to be reporting them to GISC for deliberately trying to rip me off with a false claim about how the maximum they'd pay out was what I paid for the car. Cheers, Tom

Ouch! I know how you feel man... Glad you're all right though that looked nasty, especially with the involvement of a telegraph pole... Take it easy, Tom

Nugget Yellow H reg in the centre of Edinburgh (near the Omni Centre) about 6.30pm Friday. Anyone?

After hanging around on here for the past 3 months without a 'rado, thanks to Coullstar, I'm now back in 'rado ownership. Hurrah! Had a cracking drive down from Dundee to York and blimey can she shift! Marvellous.... Couple of teething problems with an immobiser, but all sorted and well happy! 8) Cheers all, Tom

Coullstar. Nice work sir. Absolutely over the moon with the car. :D :D :D Cheers, Tom

How will the cats eye cameras be able to just speed over distance? Will they be similar to GATSOs in this respect? Cheers, Tom

Just sorting out the insurance for getting Coullstar's car on Saturday, and they've put my premium up by £79! This policy has been transfered across (via my Passat) from a 2.0l 16v to a 1.8l 16v which is a lower insurance group! They said it was because of 'modifications made to the vehicle' (Suspension and Exhaust ffs) and they had the cheek to try and charge me £50 'in case I made any more modifications.' W*nkers! So, I'm definately ditching Chris Knott and moving in May when the renewal is due, Adrian Flux any good? (Anyone that doesn't deal with Highway (robbery) Insurance is a good start.... Cheers, Tom

High mileage is not something to be worried about as long as the car has been well looked after and feels good. My old 2.0l Valver had 162K miles on it when it bit the dust, and apart from a slight leak on the cam cover gasket (which was an inexpensive fix) still pulled like a train. Good luck, Tom P.S I bought it without even seeing it (from eBay) but I wouldn't advise it :)

I was chatting to a guy at the garage some while ago, and he mentioned these as being better for fuel economy without power loss. Has anyone used them and if so, is there any noticable difference? Cheers, Tom

Cool. Nice to see so many dubs in one place. 8)

vr6storm, I think the train's my best option as I'm on the ECML. Unless anyone in the Dundee area wants a cheap Diesel Passat Estate? :) coullstar, I don't think there'll be any worries on that front... :D Cheers, Tom
