My G60 is pinking and I have found a checklist to go through from a previous post: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... g&start=15 Believe I will need a new knock sensor and to check the wires. At the moment the timing is set to 6 degrees at the flywheel and the CO Pot is set to 480. Pinking seems worse when on boost (a lot worse) but cannot tell when it stops - after about 3.5/4k I can't hear much else other than charger and exhaust - but am certain I have heard it before over that at least once. A new lambda was put into the front pipe 2 months ago - Bosch universal one - has the 4 leads. Cars performing fine I think - gets full boost on std charger/pulley and reaches top end speed no probs. Anything else I should be checking/considering? Another problem from what I have read might be associated - the car jerks when accelerating and decelarating around 1.5/2k - I have read people having to replace full pumps/filters when dealing with pinking. Something I should consider? Any help appreciated as I am dying to get this sorted. Thanks

ahh yes - much obliged! I seem to have 5 of these for some reason! and 4 of the screws - I should label these as a i get them and not stick em in a bag to make friends with all the other bags of bolts/screws!

I have these bolts bagged and I knwo I got them for a specific job I wanted to do on my G60. But for the life of me I cant remmeber where they are meant for - can anyone with access to ETKA help me please? :) N 010 242 22 BOLT N 010 233 6 SCREW Thanks a lot for any help :)

some people have used other stuff instead of replacing it with the foam from VAG. cant remember the name of it but its silver and shiny!

i have all this crap on my bonnet underside and since the bonnets getting redone at a local bodyshop - they said they have stuff that quickly removes this stuff - but then its getting repainted afterwards.... word of warning - when i priced up replacement foam - VW told me the current price is just shy of 70 quid. do you really want to pay that for some FOAM!!!!

theres loads of threads on this tbh - other options were s3, itr, leon cupra, scooby, s4, various older bmws, mr2... budget dictates a lot. the corrado despite its looks etc is a compromise car - got comfort (some;)), space, power and handling - if thats what you want, then you soon knock off alternatives.

that forum link that was posted on the first page is your best stop to find out about supras. 2 cars that i noticed people were buying after a corrado are: s3s and integras. personally i would have an integra without question if the corrado wasn't around.

funny about the whistling - i have a pipe cut down to about 3 inches - maybe a little less and have no whistling - but have exactly the same done as mentioned by others... why is that? i was curious to hear what it was like tbh since soo many people have mentioned it. -

ok - well distributor is fine as its been cleaned and tended to very recently. plugs and leads - they havent been changed while i've owned the car so perhaps... my boost leak (at the muffler box) - so this could be the cause of this? bet everyone says 'oh leon - you didnt mention that now did you!' lol and sure i'll check out the throttle cable thanks to all replies so far!

i will certainly check the mounts but i just cant believe it could be them - they were replaced literally just a few months ago! vibratech front, oem rears... i'll let you know what i find after a shifty :)

yeah totally like jolting. its feels very harsh at times... not sure if its a vacuum leak as was suggested some time ago. a friends g60 doesnt do that....
