above or below 10k? -
arent the prices at badger5 through the roof now?
-
i'm coming to see darren from dundee - but staying in brighton for a day or two, then seeing a friend in cardiff, then another in birmingham ;) 1) oil cooler 2) rsr outlet (reduced chance of boost leaks) 3) what exhaust are you using? dont forget everything else on the car needs as much attention as the engine etc!

ok - i used this stuff and it lasted for about 2 weeks. Hate to say it - but I am looking for something that gives better results. Yours look good though theres no denying that!

Any idea of how much you've spent on it? I keep toying with the idea of having the engine done on mine - then stopping the thoughts due to cost. -
and isn't the lightest...

good idea :) try and support the gearbox too.

so - reattach the downpipe to the exhaust manifold and keep disconnected to the cat bypass, take off the inlet manifold and other surrounding bits, undo bolts holding the exhaust manifold to the head, lift both the manifold and the downpipe out (up and over the head) together. change downpipe and fit new bolts/gaskets as necessary. reverse process. you wont get it out underneath as theres not enough room between the bulkhead and subframe. Hope that helps matey :)

lol just speaking in general terms mate - yours looks fine as the sig goes

make sure your charger is in top condition and then just get an engine to work on. As said earlier though, you've got to account for A LOT more money first to get the car in form before fitting go faster bits. think suspension, brakes, cooling, all drivetrain inc gearbox, pipework, sensors, exhaust, bodywork (no point in modding a rust bucket)... the list could go on forever I've spent k's on mine and haven't yet got the stage where I'm happy to start seriously modding it to get it to go quicker.

Thanks mate - just about to this in the next few days :)

so when you reach 65 in 2nd, doesn't 3rd still gear out at 80? If so, I'd rather stick with the strong 3rd... Someone please clarify this for me!!!
-
are all of you planning to do gearbox rebuilds then?
-
jay - dont encourage! i've already got hundreds of pounds of work lined up!!
-
so do i - but not just yet!!! too much at once
-
any diagrams showing this? i havent been in and around that area yet and would be great to see what you guys are talking about!!!
-
welcome! tbh, try searching for all of the above - you will lose yourself in the threads already on these topics :)
-
thats why i am neglecting them! spend the money on something more functional tbh... when the next engine/suspension/etc/etc/etc part breaks, you'll be irratated that you spent money on these!

but i was under the impression they dont actually seal anything....
-
Andy - thanks a lot - thats the answer I have been waiting for :)
-
get leather later....
-
been reading dry steam cleaning is ok, but the 'home use' equipment isnt...
-
how much was it?
-
so the autoglym stuff wont make seals etc brittle? i've been warned off using such cleaners due to negative effects they have on rubbers...
