Posting on behalf of NickVR6 whose currently stuck in car park. Looking for advice from anyone familiar with the VAG / Scorpion alarms fitted to Rado's. The problem has transpired from the battery going flat and been finished off by Nick starting the car. The alarm emitted a solid beep and now the indicators are permanently on and the alarm fob no longer functions. Oddly the immobiliser hasn't engaged so he's managed to jump start the car. He's contemplating driving it home, just got reservations that the immobiliser might kick in. Any advice on how to fix / reset the alarm that i can relay to him. Im sure it will be greatly appreciated.

Chrome handles would probably make a good GB if we could find any.

Its the complete unit, including amplified base. I bought one a little while ago and got it for just over £60 for the stealers. Heard people mention you can get a universal kit from Venom Motorsport for about £20-30.

Those little G40's are rapid when tuned, friend of mine has a sweet GT to G40 conversion in grey. He claims 160+ HP last time i spoke to him, it seems to eat most things he races against.

To slightly highjack the thread, i had a fair bit of trouble getting the alignment right. Seems everytime i get it done within a week or so it begins to return to its old tricks of pulling to the left. Any reason why it does this ? Im a bit lost as to which part to replace next.

Certainly a quality bit of work that, but i still scratch my head as to why people carry out replica conversions. I love the NSX seems a shame to turn it into a fake Ferrari. The NSX is one car on my must own list.

Had this happend to me :cry: Garage tried to undo the rather rusky bolt and crack, the captive nut in the subframe broke loose. On the positive side its all nice and new under the car now. As long as things arent too rusty you should be fine, my car had spent time living near the sea with a previous owner.

Good find, any of those feature a Corrado ?

MT90 in mine, cetainly made the change a lot more smoother, just glides between gears now. Just a shame the box is aging and every now and again you can feel the cogs syncing. That said its still a better change than the 03 BMW at home.

All most worked for me, i think i will purchase some next month when the service is due.

1) You need to remove the interior door panel first 2) Peal back the membrain 3) At the bottom about middle you will see the plug for the handle, undo that and push the cable back up into the door to slacken it 4) Then unscrew the bolt at the top on the side edge which releases the handle 5) Push the handle towards the front of the car, and gently pull the cable through If you need to remove the handle completely from the car, you will need to pop the large black plactic cap from the side of the door. You should spot a split loop holding the cable to the inside of the door. Pop this off and the cable will become loose, allowing you to remove from the door. I knew i should have taken some pictures and made a guide when i replaced my handles and catches :(

Watch out when removing the nut from the stud on the scuttle panel, if its rusty then the you might rip the stud out like i did :(

Im not going to win, had mine for just over a year now.

Oops forgot about this, i should update my situation. A new set of rear bushes cured my problem, garage said the old ones were breaking up. To finish it off a alignment job has now cured most of the handling issues.

My money is the fan duct, happend on mine soon after getting it.

If you're refering to the cables running into the existing tweeters, one runs the tweeters, the other goes to the door speakers. Thats all i know as ive yet to fit new speakers and cables.

gibber, thanks for that. Shield now firmly in place. Wish garages would put things back together properly.

Hello All While nosing around the engine bay i noticed a loose heat shield around the rear mount on my VR. There are several cables on a bracket. Could anyone explain how that little lot should fit together? See the attached images. I am a little reluctant to take the nut off in case its holding it all to the mount. If it is what the correct torque setting. Cheers Ross

I'm in need of a new set of leads, asked for the price on the Beru Reds when i was last in the stealers. They told they dont do them anymore, that true? or were they being mupets.
