  1. ha ha yeah exactly that Kev, if I'm going to pay the money out on quality kit I want it to be the best (i was also tempted by the in-car adjustable damping :D )
  2. seems a bit of a moot point now lol - they don't do the super street kit for a Corrado
  3. Yeah good thinking Kev, they all say they're good kit but there's also a TEIN drift kit which most of the Jap boys have - which I definitely DO NOT want
  4. I've had a search here and on the vortex and noone seems to be running these, anyone got any experience of them? EDIT: the super street setup in particular
  5. I think the main value in a service also is the checking of other things, I'm perfectly happy to change parts, but never 100% sure on wear limits etc. so I would only ever pay for a service for the advice. We've pretty much established though that the majority of main dealer fitters are vastly under qualified to provide that advice anyay, so I don't see the point, may as well pick up any advisories that I don't spot at MOT time.
  6. Yeah, was gonna say, check all the passat forums for a 16v being broken. Good luck with the search, if it fails, you can always fit megasquirt!
  7. You can have the immobiliser defaeated easily mate, peanuts. Then you can use all the golf stuff
  8. pmsl! I did exactly the same a while back, shit myself when I tested the fogs!
  9. Yeah I saw it, I just sold a GLB too. Remember also that the C already has hydraulic clutch gubbins in place so this swap will be even easier on the 60s/valvers.
  10. piece of p|ss, drop it off at mine tomorrow, I'll have it in by the weekend :silly:
  11. That blue one without a front palte looks amazing, the fog are smoothed off too 8)
  12. cheers Neil, Yeah I guessed the general consensus is that they aren't good , just interested to see what they look like. EDIT - nice one, cheers James.
  13. Hi all, Have any of you seen pics of a Corrado on 18s? I'm interested to see if they can look alright..
  14. lol judging by that trend, any local elephants should take care whilst crossing
  15. Doug's done one, ask him - he's looking to turbo it for 500bhp... :silly:

    FSI Engine

sorry, I'm going a bit off topic but - Wow - I've not seen it with the engine cover off, I'm amazed that PVW felt the need to omit that it wasn't running FSI at all , the way they totally ignore the technical aspect of features really winds me up

    FSI Engine

Hi, that'd be my engine then - clicky I was planning to use this in my Corrado and did alot of research on it. I don't see any problems if you source the rest of the electrics from an FSI with a front end smash for peanuts. The high pressure fuel circuit is included (cam driven pump and demand valve) - but there are plenty of options... My circumstances have changed (new job, don't need car at all) so I'm getting rid of this kit (gearbox already gone) to fund something far more irresponsible  EDIT - for info, Golf GT is 150bhp non turbo, not the TFSI
  19. I'm not sure 280/300's enough to "smash them" with the extra weight of the C and the VR lump, well - not off the line FWD for sure. A tuned honda would still be in with a shot. go turbo.... 400 neighing ones easy
  20. i found a really good polishing tutorial online, will have a look to see if i can find it again mate, although there are some pretty prolific polishers on here.
  21. from a production perspective as well as for the reasons earlier, it makes a hell of a lot of sense to have multiple stigs. I'm one of them if you believe my T shirt
  22. Theres a link up there ^^^ that says knowledge base, it's in there
