Hey guys, What are the options for fitting these wheels? Would I need just adaptors to go from four stud, or are we looking at 5 stud conversion? Cheers,

an air leak anywhere after the metering head flappy paddle thing would cause over fuelling. Have you checked all the tubes?

I think so yes, gonna get it built up and teted with standard code, then re-do, which should be a bit of fun! Nice one, wish I could code in C (++++or whatever it's in :)) - If you want to make some money though, you should seriously look into TPS based map switching. it's not currently available but a lot of guys on the msefi forums running ITBs are crying out for software that would run speed density under a certain throttle position and alpha n above. If you knew your way around the code with confidence, I reckon it would be very simple to apply. This would mean that ITB applications can have the best of both worlds - stable fuelling at part throttle and performance at 70% - WOT

Thanks guys; BigTartanJudge, good info cheers. BILLCOR, mmm, tasty - and a bargain! ChrisP, I have the shifter too, so that would help - I wonder if mounting to the chassis leg is an option on the C.... Also, minus mounting issues, what are the applications for it? Would it fit on a V6/ R32? or a 1.8T? The Mk5 Has a dual mass flywheel but I'm not sure how this affects engine/box mating.

I didn't ask for sympathy though mate. I asked if anyone knew what the gearbox is worth and so far not a single person has offered any opinion/information to that end. Although, usefully I have a list as long as my arm about what it wont fit/what's wrong with it/what my character flaws are and a picture of some ham (looks lovely by the way)... Before someone posts saying "it's worth what someone'll pay for it", yes i know that, I'm just interested to know in what applications someone might need one/find value in it.

well it must be said, thanks for all your help guys. We almost managed two whole pages before descending into small minded negativity, great stuff. In fact it's probably a record. If anyone wants to tell me something useful about the box, then feel free to do so. But you'll probably first have to skip a couple of pedantic posts following this one explaining how you're all simply pointing out facts about the box and blah blah blah and I could've been less cheeky and totally devoid of a sense of humour blah blah blah....

I would've thought a Freedom of Information Act request would release the information: There's no way they could claim DPA, you're not asking for the owners' details. And there's no case for protecting a competitive advantage I reckon they'd tell you no worries, if you made them aware it was an official FOI request.

mk5 starter, diff and clutch available - i doubt the kind of person after this box will be running a standard speedo cable either, Cheers for pointing out though Supercharged

Thats wrong for a start as the G60 and VR6 both use 02a but the bell housings are completly different... I would have thought it would also need custom driveshafts too with mk4 inner CV's? lowering compression ratio is done with spacer gaskets or pistons/rods any particular reason that you don't want a supercharged 16v?

I've finally recouperated financially from my holiday and so the Corrado's going in for MOT this week. I'm quite nervous coz it's done 0 miles in the last year and has a top end rebuild, although it passed it's last MOT without any real problems. I've bled the brakes and checked the pipes, all seems fine PAS rack etc. is all new so no worries/ leaks there. Anything else worth checking before I take the plunge? Oh, and wish me luck!
