mine did the same, was a duff wheel sensor. Put your multimeter on resistance, check across the little black plugs on the suspension turrets - one will have a relatively low resistance and one will be infinite - replace the infinite one

I think he's removing his starter button and replacing with a normal (new) ignition switch. eddy, You just have to persevere with that little screw, it's a right shitter - i smashed the plug bit off the old one to access it easier. Use the search on here, plenty of other good tips.

start buttons are cool but IMO, they just add an extra step to starting the car, i prefer efficiency  It's also worth noting that the ignition switch can also fail in such a way that the engine won't fire even with the starter turning, so even if you have a starter button and it fails in that way, you'll need to replace it....

Whats the worst thing youve done to ur corrado
saysomestuff replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
on corrado: I finished off a job, can't remember which one, very pleased with myelf lifted my toolbox into the rear light and smashed it. in corrado: on the way up north didn't see two of the three lane closure warning signs on duel carriageway, I panicked and sped up to try and catch the only gap i could see. Ended up squeezing in front of someone at about 95 with 30 odd yards to spare, i felt rather silly and my passenger had almost pulled the door handle off and pushed his foot through the passenger floor  still tried to pretend it was on purpose though 8) -
sh!tty death, that's good value - where did you buy it from?

Took me 8 hours from North London to Cardiff once, Was on the M25 for about 4 hours, and managed 18miles in 6 hours. There were people just sitting on their bonnets in the sun lol I ended up taking the M40 to Oxford onto clear road and then onto the M4 at swindon (that bit didn't take long ) -

lol so would he if he opened it

oh man, hard luck - good that they're keeping you in mind, that's a definite positive in your transferrable skills. Make sure you get some good feedback about the specifics. I know exactly how you feel when you're really into a job and don't get it, keep your chin up though Neil, one door closes and all that. All the best for the new year buddy.

lol yeah, I need to take a trip up that way sometime soon :) Would be good to have a good nosey round the 24v then too Stan (bit out of the way though like ) and the 4motion Jay :) -
Good luck mate - preparation and belief, preparation and belief....

can you start the engine, disconnect the alt and put the multimeter in series with that? Dunno if that's a bit dangerous but then at least you'd know how much work the alt is doing in the equation...
-
Hi mate, you had any luck with this yet? with an 11amp draw, that means the alternator should be charging at least at that rate whilst the car is running, surely? is it?
-
doesn't help you but I've had a very similar problem with mine mate. It will start no worries on a fresh battery and can go for a couple of weeks and still start, but once left running for 15 20 mins, the battery's dead. I've changed the starter and it still does the same, I reckon there's a short somewhere whilst running.

Cup 3s and B2s are the best wheels for a Corrado IMO
