  1. Bonnet seems to close fine, no issues as yet. Quite clever, there are no press studs or anythin > got these flat plastic tabs that slide in the gap between the edge of the arch and the inner arch
  2. Yeah all in. Seems stupid that it is cheaper to get the whole lot shipped from the U.S than buy just the bonnet part here. Dont make me hate it even more guys, its only gona be on for long hauls >> Every meet in the SW is usually at least an hr on the motorway  Yeah was thinkin that. im hopin it wont be an issue - practically had to use KY to get it on
  3. Weekend efforts included: Stripped, cleaned and soundproofed both doors. Took manky foam off the inside of the bonnet, got pi$$ed of with trying to get the old glue off >> then got rained on
  4. I wasnt a fan b4 i paid 4 it! - think it looks crap to be honest But... its gona look after my fresh paint when im steamin down the motorway :)
  5. I got mine shipped from the states bud ~ all in £50 This is the only place ive seen just the bonnet part here ~ and its £65 + p&p Click
  6. My bra arrived form the U.S this morn, quick 20mins to fit and was on. Few minor issues, nothin too serious > Side repeater holes > Designed for the 50mm chin spoiler > No. plate hole is U.S size Other than that its a good fit, should look after the paint well.
  7. Havent seen a nice valver for sale for a while any where but on here ~ suppose they arent as well looked after as VRs and Gs cos there only babby ones.
  8. Very nice bud. Be good to see ures when its all done, get it down to a few Sw meets.
  9. If your other lines are the early rubber type you have to change all of them for the braided ones ~ 6 intotal, two conversion lines for the rear and the replacement ones for the front and rear axle
  10. In case you havent seen this in the wiki its worth a read for either 2.0/1.8 Click
  11. I have these fitted to mine ~ seemed a bit long but i trusted the guy at BFG. Had MOT on last tues - they passed fine, no issues > and considerin how picky they were they would have added them to the list if the could. New MOTs seem alot tighter I can stick a photo on if you still want to see the difference?
  12. okey dokey then. I dont have anything bolted down to my rocker cover ~ prob why i can find it :) Next >> has anybody got an overrun temp sensor/ fan run on switch
  13. Alot... Probably around the area of £1200 to £1500+(edit mistake £2200 to 2500+) You would be amazed at what majic these places can perform, best bet would prob go and see somebody who works in a bodyshop and ask ~ they will have a good idea of whats best. I was under the impression that generally, unless ure gona change colour or do sumin special with the paint that a baremetal job is a bit extreme. Im sure sum1 will be on here who no's in more detail
  14. It is a brown wire in a black sleeve > so its black. has the female spade connector on it, but also had the male end from where ever it had broken off. where abouts on the cover is this mount roo?
  15. Found a wire not attached to anything, which appears to be 12v constant. As you look at the engine bay, on the left hand side, 2 large sections of loom come down over the strut tower and down into the engine bay. Just behind the air box 3 wires leave the loom >>> 2 go to the diaphragm pressure valve (which does what?) where does the 3 one go or ment to be 4? Cheers

  18. Welcome to the club bud ;) Over the last 4/5 years think i have done nearing every item on your list bud, just keep on crackin > doent matter what is wrong with it now, get it fixed and sumthin else with break tom, nature of the beast i think. Before you do too much have a good look with the search on here ~ i.e if your gona start changin brake lines and stuff loose the rear calipers and replace with MK4 ones + replace the lines with the BFG conversion ones. >> Learn a bit and ul save time and money in the bigger picture :) Every1 on here will help if you need advise
  19. Sweet site, gives you an idea of what colours etc look nice on the design bit
  20. Looks very nice bud, how much did the hood liner set you back? its a job very near the top of the 'things to do' list Made your mind up then :) decided im goin with a satin finish black leather for the wings and head rest, with a tan alcantara centre section and door cards Torn between startin the turbo conversion and interior retrim for the winter now :)
