wow interior looks spectacular dude -
oh aye horrocks engine bit the dust, but I suspect there were other things at play too :-) No harm in keeping ones car in A1 condition, I agree. Also the cost of the job is very expensive, would it not be feasilble to just replace the blades as opposed to the chains and everything - as a chain that big is unlikely to even stretch let alone snap? alternatively buy a 24v with less than 10,000 miles on it ;-)
-
I am sort of in agreement with chris here. I do believe there is a lot of scaremongering with the chains, and no one I know has had a VR engine detonate because of the timing chains. :)
-
point to note: I dont believe the vr mpgs are much different to those quoted in this thread, but it all depends on how hard you drive the car.
-
so are you not too bothered about letting people know that you are going to turn left then? :D

I am playing rugby on the saturday - I play in a fairly high standard and its the first game of the season :( and I have to work on Sunday :( I have no luck. I made an extra special effort to go to the inters this year and it was the biggest pile of sheeeeiiite I have ever witnessed. we travelled for something like 14 hours in total, and I think we were only at the show for 3 hours max. Its probablies best I dont go, everytime I turn up they are crap! -

ben does the diagnostics on the haltech ecu allow you to fire off the spark plugs on their own with nothing else working? my DTA 20v turbo would do this occasionally, just wouldnt fire. I had to plug a laptop in and fire off the plugs to burn off any fuel in the chambers, you could hear it go 'pop' Then it would start straight away. The joys of aftermarket ecu's :) -
thing is, if you have to feather the throttle to stop the wheels spinning then you are not using all the power available and therefore its not needed? (unless of course you hobby is doing flat out top speed runs everywhere you go? For me the enjoyment is powering through corners, not waiting until I am going fast enough to not spin the wheels.

sounds pretty good gib - does the dump not just dump continuously? How loud it it?
