I sold my mk1 and its the worst decision I have ever made in my life :(
-
definately the thermostat - the fan isnt coming on because the water in the rad is still cool, if the stat is stuck closed it will be only allowing a tiny amount of water to pass. had this on a vr, exact same symptoms

Alright Jay give over. you are going to make my car look sh*te! lol  -
mmmm love those wheels
-
Were you there when it was taken?! LOL
-
had a look at your motor today at elscar mate - obviously a lot of work gone into it :D personally I would have different wheels on, ones that stay under the arches and also ones where the tyres arent so stretched......but then again wheels are all down to personal taste and I am firmly stuck in the mid to late nineties as far as taste goes - give me a set of 17" compomotive MOs and I am happy :D

Comon rob stop hiding your feelings and tell us what you really think lol -
hang on a minute, I thought you told us in a previous post that your rims already stick out beyond the arches? and now you are spacing them out further - sorry to say this but it could end up looking like a comedy car
-
the rear seat area is not touched
-
mmmmm dont think it is applicable to the syncro back axle, as the 4motion rear axle is a totally different design. Nice thought though. I have an excellent idea about eliminating the camber on the back with some minor mods, requires the haldex diff really though.

any news on when the last batch will be delivered? the money has gone out my bank account
-
Yeah I would keep it to one thread but I cant actually find the original - hence the new thread :? can some one point me in the right direction?
-
Has any one received their gear yet? The money went out of my bank last Friday so I am assuming they are coming?

scary stuff - one thing I dont think I would mess with. Full marks for doing it though! -
:shocked!: :shocked!: :shocked!: :shocked!: how much have you spent on that car?????!
-
sounds interesting mate - fancy PMing me with your ideas? p.s. I followed an M3 today and I noticed that it was running quite a lot of camber! so maybes some camber is normal
-
lol if its any help I had 5stud rears on my mk2 VR, they are just part of the rear disc, and they bolt straight up keep smiling :D
-
touchai' 8) if you look at the bad camber pic you will notice the wheel is right up inside the arch, which would make the car totally undrivable anyway - and there is no tyre on the wheel which will lessen the effect even more so. I suppose time will tell
