lovely car, but imo the wheels look a bit daft. I would get some tyres that actually fit the wheels ot reduce the width of the wheel. just my opnion, I cant stand that euro stretched tyre shyte

it will work in a fashion. all it means is that it wont be much quicker than a car with less horses. the extra power just gets spun away. I saw a cracking example of this at the VW Audi croft trackday. a ihi seat ibiza cupra with 350 bhp, just could not put the power down at all, you could hear it spinning the wheels on about 3-4 seperate occasions on the same corner as he tried to put the power down then had to back off then tried again then had to back off etc. Point it in a straight line and it was like a bullet though!

well my sister owns a 318is, seems pretty solid, but very underpowered. apart from that I thought it was a nice car. My girlfriend owns a mazda mx-5 10th anneversary and that is a blast! one of the best cars I have ever driven! if it were mine I would be shortly affixing a supercharger to the motor to boost its power output to 'loonatic acceptable' levels. All said I would still have my corrado over them all

them seats were electric cloth recaros, ultra rare and worth a bit of money. I wouldnt pay that for them, but someone did as they had a sold sticker on them.

yeah but I would imagine the extra 2-3 grand on the price of the engine tends to have a marked effect of people purchases......they may be the same design engine, but money wise at the moment they are in a totally different league to the 2.8 motor. I totally disagree about peoples lack of interest in the 2.8 24v - its a much better engine than the 2.9vr and from a slightly smaller capacity. Its very easy to say stuff like 'bah may as well just go for the r32', and thats fine if your names rockafella, but most mortals dont even have the funds for a 2.8 swap let alone the r32 lump. Thats not me being bitter cos I have a 2.8 either, as I will be supercharging my 2.8 in the not too distant future (parts purchased awaiting fitment). But I am well happy to run the car in standard 2.8 24v normally aspirated mode for a long time and prove that its a much more advanced, potent engine than the old vr. (not that I am knocking the vr btw because I think they are great engines) my 2p, from someone who is actually 'doing it'

unless you have a 6 speed box, best of both worlds :)
