  1. So you're also running camber shims? this will certainly make a difference. You should just about get away with clearance on a 9.5 et18 on the rear of a narrow track corrado. However, with a shim, its going to pull the top of the wheel in. Firstly, there's not enough clearance to get away with this, secondly, you'll always be running on the inner tyre edge if you do. As long as your rear arches are cut/rolled (and you don't carry rear passengers) there should be no need for shim. You should be running 38-40psi with that kind of stretch and checking pressures and wear etc weekly. It's a PITA, but responsibility comes with pushing limits. There's a big difference between being silly & stupid. Get rid of the extra spacers if you're running them and get rid of the shims. Best option if you can find another pair is to run 8.5's all round.
  2. it's a technical world bud! wax/paint sealant are the same thing - what you put on after you've polished the paint. difference is wax has some natural wax, sealant is synthetic. you can use one or the other or both. I've just done the audi with poorboys black hole and 'sealed' with collinite 845, with very good results. highly recommend the black hole for dark cars.
  3. The tyre has been catching on the suspension or inner wheel arch over the last 4 weeks or so. Eventually, today, the side wall wore through to the point that tyre pressure was high enough to split the remaining wall. There could be a possibility, but less likely, that the tyre was running too flat - when was the pressure last checked? I'm not sure what you are saying in regards to spacers & adaptors - it sounds like you've bought G23 adaptors that are too thin then running with spacers as well? This will not in any way cause whats happened, but points towards you not having a clue as to the difference between a good and bad idea. I may come across as sounding harsh, but I assure you it is intentional - you need to get all this sorted properly, not just chuck a replacement tyre on and hope for the best.
  4. Dude, you're the reason people argue over the safety of stretched tyres. To let your tyres get to that state without any awareness they were rubbing is ridiculous. If you are going to heavily modify wheels/tyres/suspension you have to have an idea what you're doing and check everything for safety. 205/40 is excessive on a 9.5, you must know that. To ask if a manufacturer will take responsibility? Come on! I run 205/40's on a 9 & 215/35's on a 9 on different cars, so don't think I'm anti stretch, but what you've done, without checking possible outcomes is f**king stupid. Be thankful no one got hurt. Please tell me you put those in the photos for a laugh and you're not running them on your car. Firestones>Nankang ADL.
  5. depends what it is.. the rado gets away with being yellow, as do things like the clio 182's.. audi? hmm.. maybe an S3, not a Q7. although the market may be smaller, it could be eager. When I worked for MINI, we bought a Gold MINI One Convertible for stock. I properly laughed at my sales manager for buying a gold car we'd be stuck with. I sold it within half an hour of it going online, to a couple from Scotland who'd been searching for one for months.
  6. £200 is a great price for a full detail.. £35 an hour isn't an unreasonable amount to pay for any kind of car related work, there's as easy 6 hours there, plus products used. I'd say £300 would still be reasonable.
  7. hmmm.. defo some good and bad points! Engine spec sounds appealing, exhaust isn't and i feel sorry for the hose behind the charger!
  8. need more info about where you/she currently live, why january etc.. personal view it get her out of there as soon as you can, to yours if poss, so you don't have to deal with it. the only thing worse than having a problem neighbour is a loved one having a problem neighbour.. you want to 'fix' it, but you'll cause bigger problems for nights you're not there. If the guy's sub human scum with friends who are worse, you really don't want to get involved. YOU BOTH HAVE MORE TO LOOSE THAN HE/THEY DO. It's only a difficult situation if you own the property, everything else is workable. The police will do nothing, the council will do nothing and you'll land yourself/her in it if you take it on yourself. Bide your time, get her out of there and if you feel the same once they have no idea where to find you, deal with it then.
  9. Possibly.. It's an interesting proposition, especially with recaros in the garage.. indeed, probably more off putting than the lack of MOT!
  10. lovely! worst thing to see in an ad though 'will go straight through mot' - just do it then!!
  11. if you're going to be turbo'ing etc i'd defo be saying standalone is the way forward. Kev is realy the man to take advice from having done both. if you happen to need oem ecu/wiring etc, let me know, mines due to go up for sale when i can be bothered!
  12. You're a full blown idea stealing c**t James. I'll hate you as long as I see these posted on the forum.
  13. I don't know maaaaaaaan. There's endless worlds & galaxies with endless possibilities for an infinite number of other lifeforms. 'Aliens' as such? Nah, just friends we haven't met yet. Let's get high and hug.
  14. Done! There's a free ham hock in it for you if i win.
  15. As above, wheels can protrude no more than 30mm and tyre tread must be fully within arch. You car looks fully legal, but absolutely ridiculous. 9's and massive stretch do not go with standard height at all.
  16. yep, i dont bother uploading anything on here now.. i have a facebook album only visable to me, upload direct to my phone from there then go through the pics, right click 'copy image location' and the photo will be up. preview thread which will bring up inages, add text, job jobbed.
  17. labels are for e38 classified.. and chuck of course. 5 sold on ebay within 20 minutes! the original was replaced due to missing/black pixel on camera. I dont mind os7, its a bit childish, but does the same job. Same as the recent forum update, in a couple of weeks ill forget it was ever different! back on topic, the 4s is still available!

  20. Henry's are great, a lot of valet bays use them.. i reckon kev had a duff one. I'd like a george and recently missed out on a £129 at argos deal.. I've just picked up a karcher wetvac for car use from their outlet site, its well reviewed on DW and for the price was worth a punt. Not used it yet though! http://www.karcheroutlet.co.uk/products/product.asp?id=4923
