if you're doing that sort of miles a day i would strongly suggest you keep yer rocco and use that for the daily commute.........as much as the C VR should take that sort of miles in its stride......your fuel bill will be keeping shell in business  -
too right.......still got it on tape i think.........i'd have the ur-quattro over any jap 4wd performance motor........tho must admit i do really like the skyline!
-
damn nice looker there dan...........tbh i wasn't really a fan of the silver(too many mercs and beemers etc) before.......but the more i see it the more i have began to like it on the C

looking good tony! .........were you searching for one long??? -
Lax Power was first in the newsagents in 1993 btw........tbh for its first couple of years it weren't too bad......but then it got worse.....or maybe my taste improved quite a bit
-
i know when the S2 first came out.....they compared it back to back with the ur-quattro......and found the S2 to be quite softer and not as good to drive as the "out-going" ur-quattro
-
The S1 is the rally car your ur quattro was based on!!! Suppose, if money was a slight object the UR quattro would do  . My mate has a g plate 10v 2.1 coupe even it sounds sweet. One of the highlights for me this summer was the sound of the dubwieser mk1 with the 20vt engine (not that 4 cylinder thing.....the proper one!!) at inters. d'oh.... forgot about the original rally one but i could have sworn the ur-quattro was first and the S1 was what the "swb" quattro-sport was based on.........though the "ur-quattro" pic you have is actually a quattro-sport....the road-going version of the S1.....now thats one of my lottery cars....after my 959 of course
-
AtE power-grooves are cheaper and are a O/E standard so there is no insurance penalty(most companies will load your premium if you upgrade your discs btw)
-
like yer style m8  ......though wondered what you meant by S1???????.....take it you meant the ur-quattro  must admit every time i get near an ur-quattro....the stereo goes off and window goes down just to hear that note!.......was lucky enough to own a D-plate lago blue ur-quattro in the mid-90's 8) ......

remember getting told this by one of the reprographic engineers when he was fixing our electrostatic platemaker over 15 years ago.......and that smell its so hard to explain what its closest to

right govt. fuel figures for the 2.0 16v Corrado were urban-23.7mpg!!!!!  my VR gets similar to this btw 56mph-47.1mpg 75mph-37.7mpg
-
don't do it!!!......there was one for sale in an earlier issue of the sprinter this year that had the MK3 twin headlight conversion fitted....made it look like a tatra
-
tbh........i'm just a bit sceptical about these "cheap" chips......it maybe has improved your performance(short-term) but can they gaurantee that say 6months to a year down the line it won't make your engine go bang with expensive results........ :? :? :?
-
they certainly do biggrim......15 gals over 12 gals of the earlier models
-
never a truer word spoken there
-
the 1.8 16v's were mechanical fuel injection and the 2.0 16v's were part/all electronic fuel injection
-
well they found the problem with mine! :D .....my fuel pump had packed in completely....so new fuel pump supplied and fitted by the local VW-dealer....also got them to give the storm its annual inspection(just 4 weeks earlier than normal)and also got the brake fluid renewed at the same time.......anyway i was £355inc vat and all parts....which i thought wasn't too bad as there was some fault-finding needed too........so thats the storm ramped and stamped for another year
-
nice ones....seen some of them before but still pretty funny all the same........anyway i'll move this into "general car chat"
-
if its any consaltion chris.....my storm was delivered  to my local VW-dealers today on the back of a recovery truck with what seems to be the same fault  mine cut-out/stalled at a round-a-bout then would'nt fire up again.....pushed it off the road and tried restarting it.......just for it to idle very roughly for approx 1-2 secs then cut-out......i'll let you know the diagnosis as soon as i find out

vr6storm replied to Dick Dastardly's topic in Suppliers Forum
AFAIK dick-dastardly is coming along........though after jim curley at Star-Performance finding out how popular this event is likely to be....he has said that he will try and fit in as many other cars(after the 25 "allocated" cars) as time permits -
hows this to my least favourite Rover
-
so the top one will be the very very rare M3 VW corrado      ........

TBH it would look extremely stupid and just would'nt suit the C's lines
