i'm sure all RS2's were limited to 155mph.........but unlimited i would imagine it would be keeping up with them

AFAIK there was only 2 types of standard VW-grille for the corrado.....the pre-92 multi-slatted one and the later post-92 3 bar  .......as for priming the grille i would imagine that you would need to do this even with these types of paint as it will make the paint stick to it a lot easier(unless of course the paint manufacturer states differently).....tho one thing either the primer or the paint will need is a plasticiser in it........to give it some degree of flex otherwise it'll likely flake off or chip off easily...... Yeah, but i was talking about the MKI golf, the MKII golf and the early corrado grill  as it was in relation to Supercharged's golf mention  ah ok....its just the way you worded it,it appeared to be in relation to the Corrado......so fair doos............one thing though about the "Frost's" product is that it is really for interior uses so might not stand up to the outside elements but under a tenner i suppose what you got to lose

start the engine once every week and let it get up to operating temp that way it should charge the battery and hopefully burn off any condensation inside the engine.........make sure you do this in a well-ventilated arean tho(to avoid carbon-mono-oxide poisoning etc) and if possible move the car ever so slightly so as to avoid getting low-spots on the tyres where its been sitting......also "chock" the wheels and leave the handbrake off and leave the car in gear(if its facing downhill.....leave in reverse, uphill leave in 2nd/3rd)

you got your GSF grille-spoiler yet chris???......and does it look the same as skid's???

well in the world of printing..........although its not "paint"....paper comes in different types of textures/grades etc pretty much like paint satin=has a sheen to it.......pretty much like the clothing material its named after......paintwise similar to whats known as "chassis black" which is used on HGV chassis's matt=a dullish solid "flat-looking" material.....paintwise pretty much like the stonechip protection used in early 90's escorts in particular(tho it was an anthracite type colour) textured=paper-wise it can have like a fine flock to it that you can feel.....paintwise it would be the same as what Matt with the G60 Limited had done to his bumpers if its instead of using vinyl on the back window of your golf then it would be a "matt" paint that you would need......tho tbh it depends on what each manufacturer "describes" their own product at the end of the day as for availablity most automotive paint suppliers will be able to supply them, tho you might need to know someone in the trade

Ford dealers are your best bet or you could try and see if your local bodyshop can source them from their "factors"(suppliers)
-
how long is a piece of string is much the same question racerben..........seriously tho...any non-standard bodykit-parts etc WILL increase your premium and its advisable to declare them but as 8vG60 said best to try a ford forum as opposed to a Corrado one
-
sorry but this is really a Corrado Forum.......as per the title  ......but as my wife has a Ka2 and i also thought about getting her bumpers Colour-coded i can tell you what a paint-spraying mate said to me when i enquired about it.........basically there are 2 different bumpers listed for Ka's one is the rough textured type as per standard ones and the other is a ready-primered one for ease of applying paint......my mate also told me that although not impossible to spray the standard textured ones it can very hard to achieve a satisfactory finish as the plastic needs to rubbed down to form a "key" for the primer/paint etc to adhere to......so unless you want to replace your standard bumpers with the "ready-primered"then i would forget about it......though as the "ready-primered" ones aren't too dear (approx £30-ish per part) then go for it

PMSL at guru........suppose makes a change from being called an anorak or car-nerd...........just that i was really into my porkers about 10 years ago and with owning a 924lux,a 924S and a 944 turbo could speak from experience etc had a chuckle with your "when i were a kid" comment.......anyone would think that your in your early 20's now

not quite henny.......Porsche 924 has only the engine/switchgear and interior bits from the Audi.....the gearbox on the early cars was an Audi 4-spd transaxle which later became a 5-spd(don't know if it was used in any other Audi)and all the turbos had a porsche dog-leg g/box(as did some 924's)...............its a front engined RWD(with the g/box at the rear for excellent weight distr and a Torque-tube to feed the power to it)so can't really be defined as a reshelled Audi........and also it was never based on the same platform as the Golf.... as for the 924S yes thats more or less just a narrow-bodied 944 same engine etc.......but the 924 turbo uses a variation on the original 924 engine but with a KKK turbo and a Porsche built head......though the 924 carrera GT using a more uprated turbo engine and intercooler too was what the 944 body was based on
-
it was originally intended to be a Volkswagen project..as a replacement for the VW-Porsche 914/4 kev  .......but VW put it on a low priority and also had the scirrocco ongoing and with the economic climate of the time(oil crisis of the early-mid 70's)decided against marketing a sports car leaving it for Porsche to concentrate on........

both Norwich union and admiral recognised my standard fit VW alarm immobilser and didn't request any proof of installation etc
