  1. early 92 was when the 2.0 16v was introduced so J-reg onwards
  2. true.....but there is a RHD version of it
  3. also if you "prep/key" it you can save on some of the labour cost too
  4. if its the CICB(criminal injuries compensation board) that you are speaking about then you would get money as compensation if there was an injury to you and if there was a successful conviction of the assailant....there has to be a conviction though....to cut out fraud and btw its not from the police force but from some govt dept
  5. though the speedlines 8) and of course the BBS solitudes still beat them on style and class.......also standard VR6 wheels are 6.5J width not the 6J width of those skoda ones
  6. yeah there are plenty of us in agreement that skid should show it or have it magazine featured as it one damned cool looking minter 8) as for the blue one i do have another couple of pics of it......but much an such the same.......though i'm sure the present owners will tell you that it is in dire need of serious TLC!!!.........also AFAIK it was for sale on the VWCCGB classifieds for a good year+ and was described as a show-winner :?  but it really needs quite a bit of fettling.........the paintwork btw is a mercedes blue(i think its a SLK colour)
  7. i'll move this into general car chat though  and hope you get her running like a peach
  8. to be honest especially with both reds it looks better if you keep the grille "au natural"

    IS THERE HOPE?

Twan, you should PM spoier on this forum as his location is down as seattle, and he's also recently bought a Corrado that has needed some cash spending on it.....you never know he might be able to give you some pointers etc on what to look for etc
  10. and here's a better pic of it
  11. Skid has the Kamei one on his early grille.........and damned nice it looks too!
  12. the miltek's and magnex's are just about identical looking and both look just a bit meatier than the standard one which is why i went for my miltek  other than the boxer one like dubster82's there is also a "big-bore" round tailpipe and of course the DTM-styles :? as for a pic of one..........if you PM newcorradowner on here i'm sure he'll let you see it in the flesh
  13. probably down to the fact that everyone and their uncle had DTM's..........no disrespect to anyone who has one(newcorradowner  for instance)but the C just doesn't really suit DTM's.......
  14. guys i'll move this into the servicing section

    E36 headlights

AFAICR HiD lights have to have H/Light washers as standard.......remember reading it somewhere but can't remember where :?
  16. Pau1 what drugs are you on m8!!...........i would rather have a scooby than a C that looked like that and i hate scoobies with a passion
  17. ATE powerdiscs are amazingly cheap too and as they are classed as an O/E supplier they don't attract any insurance hike..........as most if not all insurers treat brake upgrades as a performance improvement and will increase  your premium if you notify them of different from standard brakes Deleted duplicate for you Roddy ;) VR
  18. i think its for either the aux.coolant pump or the rad fan.........i can't remember tbh :?
  19. well unless your VR is running like S***,smoking like a chimney and/or getting less than 15mpg you really should have nothing to worry about

    Plugs & Leads

phone your local VW-dealer and ask how much their Quantum plug lead sets for you C are and try other reputable places
  21. vr6storm

    Plugs & Leads

well as quantum is VW's own brand then i would imagine that they are to O/E standards or higher.........but i'm sure you can spend more and have "bling bling" looking leads that may or may not be better but certainly look nicer ****EDIT**** one thing i would recomend for all VR6 owners to buy is the Hazet plug lead removal tool even if you still have the supplied plastic one,as it makes life a hell of a lot easier when removing the leads

    Plugs & Leads

well no-one will notice the type of plugs you have so its best to stick with the recommended NGK's as for plug leads i bought Quantum branded ones from VW in early september for under £60 a set,but i'm afraid they are just blackish grey so nothing exiting to look at
  23. just had a look on Volkswizard's website and he's also got a uk-spec Golf VR6 too with similar miles and price tho cloth instead of the hide on the SA one though the hi-miler hi-line he's got looks quite tempting too and £2.5k cheaper
