-
nah i've a 993 C4............last of the air-cooled ones  this is my beastie................slightly more tamer to control in the wet than the 964 C4 too
-
swings and round-a-bouts tbh.............you won't lose too much money depreaciation wise but keeping it could prove costly........you could get hit with big bills eg....a clutch replacement can cost well over £1k especially if you need a new flywheel..........best person to ask about Porkers maintenance wise is radostormvr6 he seems to know most of their foibles
-
sorry but thats gonna go for a lot more than £8k........i'd say £12k+ even.......its whats known as the 964 model too which is a lot of car for not too much money,HOWEVER......they have a reputation for big oil leaks and big servicing costs if you have the means to do it..............go for it but don't expect to run it on a shoestring..............my 993C4 has a more advanced 4WD system which in turn is meant to be more economical and i'm lucky if i get 17mpg round town
-
probably caused by it slightly hitting the bonnet..............the corner will be rounded/edged on a corrado as the bonnet spar interferes with the schrick
-
badges are separate........so it'll just be the grille
-

ahhh but technically the first VW was a Porsche.......afterall it was Herr Porsche that designed the Beetle for his mate Herr Hitler
-
nope..................they collaborated with Porsche decades before VW-Porsche 914,914/6 etc the Porsche 924 was going to be an VW range topper til they got cold feet, and Porsche grabbed it back
-
tbh unless you're going to go down the route A20LEE and the rest of the modded show-boys stuff like suspension, engine mods and even wheels should only improve it IMHO
-
IIRC i haven't seen a Mk1 Scirocco in Aberdeen for easy 10+ years..............
-
you looked here at all?? http://website.lineone.net/~dr.dub/
-
i think i remember hearing if its pretty rotten on the surface it'll be as bad underneath and therefore pretty much unrestorable...........
-
Has anyone seen their Corrado on Google Earth?
vr6storm replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
the only thing tho..............from what i can make out........Google earth for Aberdeen is a pic from easy 5years ago............probably the same for the rest of the UK.....if you want to check....think of a development thats recent in your town/city etc then see if thats been built.......for instance the VW dealership in Aberdeen relocated in 2003.............its just a building site on google earth  -
as long as you don't expect VW Polo running costs and expect to get 30+mpg round town they are probably the easiest to run bar the 2.0 8v's
-
run-out 944 Lux by the looks of it.................its got the 2.7L 4 pot which is meant to be creamy smooth compared to the earlier 2.5L..........not keen 1 bit on the slotted rear valance tho..............but its miles away from the 944 Turbo tbh performance wise
-
and so far i'm glad i did :D ...............I see quite a few of the Cayman S up here in Aberdeen now,and its quite rare to see a 993 up here now
-
v nice.......was thinking of going for the Cayman S or a 987 Boxster S myself til i thought better of spending close on £50k on a car  so how loaded is it with extras????..........and did he order it himself or go for one already ordered

VR6 died on overrun in 2nd on approach to roundabout.
vr6storm replied to craigowl's topic in Engine Bay
engine dying used to happen every blue moon(ok a bit more frequent.....forgot your a meterologist) with mine...............but since i got a new fuel pump 2 1/2 years ago not once since -
GPC or you could go for the VW logo like in some of the press pics.......anyway GPC will do both and VW will do the VW logo and perhaps the BBS one too
