I always preferred Frazzles to Wotsits...
-
The KR inlet cam is a straight swap for the 9A inlet cam, and has higher lift and longer duration - apparently it's worth about 10-15bhp... Afaik, the exhaust cams are the same...
-
I kinda like that actually...

Just get a set of B3 (88-92) Passat 2-screen clocks from a scrappy as they're almost identical to the C ones and you can steal the overhead lighting strip!
-
No - I suspect they're wired in parallel rather than in series, as otherwise all three would go out of only one bulb blew... It could well be a fault on the flex line that feeds just that bulb...
-
They're all on the same piece of flexible circuit that plugs onto the main board - i'd check it for breaks, and that it's plugged in correctly... Do you have a multimeter that you can buzz it out with?
-
oops - just noticed that yrs is a Golf VR, not a Rado...! Still, I'm sure most of the comments will still apply...
-
I seem to remember a Mini pickup that had a 5.7 Chevy V8 on the flatbed and was rwd... Apparently it would keep up with a McLaren F1 till 100mph!
-
Christmas pressie from the girlf (scarlett ;)) Still have the 'rat but it's SORN'd and trying to be re-homed...
-
I bought a set of VR clocks just to steal the needles for my Passat! For the ones I sold chilly, I just masked off the std white needles and sprayed them with red spray paint...
-
 that's my handiwork!
-
I went to my local disco equipment seller and bought a couple of sheets of lighting gel - just place the original filters on the sheet and cut round it! TBH mate, it takes less than 2 hours all-in, including cutting the new filters, so an easy job for a weekend afternoon...
-
Ahhhh, Dave, you missed the "angel eyes..." thread... 56 pages of utter drivel... Pure joy!

There is a buying guide on the site which contains most, if not all, of the important things to look out for. You couldn't have chosen a better time to buy though, as prices are as low as I've ever seen them! £5-6K will get you an absolute minter, but be prepared to travel! HE-MAN on this forum is a trader based around Manchester and seems to be getting good clean late-model examples at the mo, so might be an idea to look for his threads in the For Sale section... Welcome to the forum, and good luck!

i is too kool 4 skool...

I wrote this - might help?

Keep the white, it acts as a diffuser for the light...

the 'green' VR that does 40.8 mpg!!!!
gradeAfailure replied to double-6s's topic in General Car Chat
Heheh, I've had mine for over a month yet and haven't seen 30mpg for more than about 10secs! And it only happened once too... ;) -
It all depends whether you want adjustable ride height or not - if not, you can't really get much better than the Koni TA damper/H&R springs combo, but it's pricey (although there is a GB on at the mo). If you want height adjustability, the budget FK AKs seem to be quite popular, but there's obviously also the Highsports and Konigsports too depending on your budget.

Nope, otherwise we'd all have done it!

Door strips are just stuck on, badges are pinned.
-
You can get padded double-sided sticky-tape - might be worth a look? I have a JOM Rieger-copy grille/eyebrow that I'm going to be painting and fitting soon, so I'll let you know how I get on...

Looking good mate, very simple and tidy install there! Hmmm, think I'm gonna have to sort mine out now... ;) Top work, looks sweet!
