  1. How much is it, and where is it? Hell, if you don't buy it, I might! In all seriousness, getting a fsh on any car that age is going to be a rarity, so I wouldn't worry unduly... What's far more important is the gut feeling you get from the car and the seller - our instincts are something we rarely trust enough, but they usually turn out right. If something doesn't feel right, walk, as you'll never be truly happy with the car if you always have a doubt in the back of your mind... Like it's been said before, I'm sure there's peeps on here who'd be willing to cast an eye over any potential purchase to either dispel or confirm your suspicions... :)
  2. For £500...? Looky looky Not sure how they stack up against the big hitters though - anyone got one of the cheaper brands?
  3. Mate that sucks, but glad to hear you're ok... Hope the C's not a WO and you can get everything sorted...
  4. the words "can" and "worms" spring to mind... what do you have on there currently? I'd have thought it'd make the most sense to get a pair that matches what you already have...
  5. Press the Print Screen button, open up Paint from the Accessories menu, then press Ctrl-V to paste the image. Crop it down to the right size, and save as a jpeg. Job done!
  6. KR inlet cam (from a 1.8 valver) - higher lift and longer duration than the 9A cam, can get them from about £15 2nd hand, and is reckoned to give anything between +10-15bhp... :)
  7. If the turbo is sized correctly it can be producing full boost at less than 3000rpm, and heft-loads of torque - but as the others said, IF you can get insured at all, you'll be paying more than the cost of the conversion in insurance (£3k and up...!) Not really advisable to run a turbo without an intercooler too, and I've heard that there's problems with kits from the US and Europe as they're designed for left-hookers and the turbo outlet pipes foul on various components in a rhd car... Oh, if it were that simple...!
  8. Nope, afaik even the US rados have standard indicators (turn signals ;)) that only light when you're actually indicating...!
  9. I love the wheels, just don't think they look quite right on that rado...
  10. In terms of Corrados, they're nothing! Welcome to the forum, happy new year, and good luck with the potential new C!

    Fan blower

If it's got the later heater controls, check that the contacts in the fan speed switch are making proper contact - I thought my resistor had blown but it's actually the switch...
  13. 79,000 - but it has had a replacement set of clocks fitted! ;) Think it's actually closer to 130,000 - on a 01/08/93 VR6...
  14. Nope, they is 9x16 ET15 Borbet T with 205/40 stretched Toyos... And she says thank-you for the compliment!
  15. For me, it's more a case that I see Ford and Vauxhall as "below" VW in the automotive food chain - and to put an engine from either of them into a VW is taking a step backwards... But that's just a bit snobby really! A blown Merc Cossie lump though... ;)
  16. It'll look wrong! Seriously, it's just plastic, and I've only ever seena few rados where is wasn't cracked or scraped slightly... Hell, if it don't scrape it ain't low enough!
  17. Personally I'd lacquer them as it gives the tinted portion a finish that's much closer to the factory lower half...
  18. Maybe... ;) But it's clean at the mo so it can't be discussed in this thread...!
  19. Well, here's Laura's after a couple of motorway jaunts to Glasgow and back! ...and 10mins later!
  20. And wasn't the red-top Vauxhall 2.0 16V engine essentially a Cosworth design? And one of the best 16V NA engines to boot... I'd love an original white 3-door Sierra RS though... ;)
  21. Not another bl00dy aqua blue VR...! Sheesh, respray next for me i think... ;) Just kidding mate, looks lovely...
  22. I wish we still got weather like that... :(
