Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive January 06]
gradeAfailure replied to bristolbaron's topic in General Car Chat
Saw two red valvers in Pompey last night - flash red K-plate valver parked opposite the Reg, then a tornado red G-plate just round the corner... Any takers? Funniest thing was a half-cut scarlett running down the road, camera-phone in hand, shouting "Rados!" -
Aren't Phat and thelargestofallthebens  using Haldex?
-
Right, the aperture for the key needs to be horizontal in order for the boot to be unlocked/locked on the cl. If you've got it set like that, then I think there's an activating rod inside the tailgate that can come loose or something - might be worth having a look, and if nothing appears loose, then giving the lock a good douse in wd40...?
-
The boot lock needs to be in a certain position to be activated on the central locking - could be that...?

Top work that man, absolutely stunning! -
Heheh, you'll have to get em to 'chop the centre caps too - Wolfsburg Edition on a corrado...?! I think not... ;) Good choice of wheel though... :)

Stop messing about and buy another VR Neil, you know you want to anyway... ;) -
Try St George's Coachworks in Camberley - the guy I bought my Passat off works there, and they sprayed a door for me and did a top job getting the colour match exactly right...

Multiple keys. Can i fix my door handles so i can have 1 key
gradeAfailure replied to quicky1980's topic in Interior
Can the boot lock be done in the same way? I think the ignition barrel was replaced on mine, so it has a separate key, but seeing as I'm delocking it, I only need the boot to match... -
You're not selling it dear, 'else I shall be having words... ;)
-
Well said dear! In fact, if I ever hear you say another bad word about your car Nick, I'm never speaking to you again! Actually, that's not much of a threat...

I'm with AF, and I know what you mean about their forms...! Think I'll be switching to Brentacre in July when my insurance is up...
-
I can confirm that these wheels look utterly sweet in the metal - and if someone forced me to choose at gunpoint between these and 301s then it'd be a damn tough choice!
-
Heheh, I shall pass on your compliments! And yeah, I always thought that 7.5 up front looked better til she got 9s all round - then I realised that that looked much better! Steering gets a bit heavier though... Rhodri, is yours an early or late body? If you have the early wings then I'm not actually sure that you'll be able to go for 9s on the front - Laura's is a late body with the wider front wings, and 9s on the front are legal (tyre tread has to be contained within the arch) by about half a mm!
-
 nae worries matey - she's proud of her choice of wheels, and rightly so imo! Made me start thinking bout how wide I wanna go with my 301s...! Her previous C with the 9x16s...
-
Errr, actually it's my other half, scarlett, that has the 9x16 Borbet Ts... And M15 VW has 7.5s at the front anyway... ;)
-
Looking utterly lush Nicky-boy! Should have some new centre caps winging your way soon too hopefully...
-
Well, it shouldn't click at all as you're supposed to push the button in whilst you pull it up! Could it be that the teeth for the ratchet have rounded off...?
-
Corrados were made to be driven!
-
I think the best thing you can do is go drive good examples of both - I've not driven a G myself, but apparently they are very different beasts. I reckon if you try them both, you will instantly prefer one or t'other - seems that most peeps on here who've driven both do... Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Might as well say cheers to Sambo and crazymarcel for a cracking pair of Corrados...! Laura and I are both loving them... :) -
Looking good mate - I see you finally switched your heatre controls to red! Much hassle?
