Why not make yourself a list of body panels it needs, have a look at what's already being broken on here, and get a couple of quotes from local bodyshops...? If it's the red one off eBay then spraying shouldn't be too bad as it's not a metallic...

Yeah, I know Raj is running a blown 9A in his Passat, no? I thought the bore on the 9A was the same as a KR, just a longer stroke, so the S2 pistons will still fit? I know the bores need to be enlarged slightly though... Hmmm, maybe a trip up to Ace Cafe again is in order (once I have the new car of course...)!

The main problem we're having is figuring out what management to run it on - obviously K-Star isn't really available, and I don't think I'm techie enough to be able to figure out what the hell I'm doing with Megasquirt... I have heard people say you can run it on Digifant - anyone got any experience of doing this, and how you cobble it all together? Or is Megasquirt not as tough to figure out as the website suggests?!

Could be the switch...? Dunno where it is on a valver - somewhere on the gearbox usually...

Who're you insured with Kev, cause my insurance is much more by comparison!

One word, begins with a V... I'll give you two guesses and the first one doesn't count... ;)

I had a set custom made for me by a guy in Germany (surprise surprise) - http://www.habianek.com/ - he has no RHD templates though, so I made my own in paper and sent them to him. 4 mats to my own custom templates for 60 Euros delivered! Good quality too, though he doesn't do heelpads unfortunately...

Not impressed with my insurers...

Arse... Ah well, best be careful with the new car then! Good job we're getting a runabout too... ;) -

Am currently insured with Adrian Flux on the 'rat and just phoned them up to change it over to the new car which should hopefully being collected on Fri - now, the new car is worth approximately 4x what the 'rat is, and in particular it has a rather nice set of wheels on it which are worth over £1k, so I asked about having an agreed value put on the car as I don't want to risk being horrifically out of pocket should the worst happen... only to be told that they can't apply this mid-term on a policy...! Is this normal insurance practice...? I really don't want to be driving the car if I know that I'll get screwed over if it gets written off, and I thought Adrian Flux were supposed to be one of the better insurers... Do I have to just lump it and be paranoid about the car all the time, or should I just cancel my policy and get insured elsewhere?

It looks like I'm gonna be hanging around here a lot...

Anybody know the average weight in kg of a 17" wheel and 205/40 tyre? I'm not talking about an ultra-light BBS or OZ rim, nor a super-heavy Halfords special rim , just an average 17" wheel... Need to get some wheels collected from Germany and have to estimate the weight of four wheels and tyres, and I can't be arsed taking one of mine off and weighing it in the cold...!
-
Ah, riiiight... Yeah, just disconnect the Haldex rear electronically controlled diffy thingy... like wot the man says...! I'm so techie... ;)
-
Oh, for goodness' sake...
-
It's not clean yet and is on 14" BBS...!

In that case, I don't think you can swap the entire unit over - you're probably best buying a set of late-spec clocks and swapping the needles and rev counter face (it has Corrado written on it!) over, then selling on the late spec clocks... hth!
-
Welcome to the forum! If you mean the red needles, then they'll just swap over... Is yours a one- or two-screen instrument panel?
-
Aren't FKs better quality than the in.pros, or have I got that the wrong way round...?
-
Mate that's a shame... :( How bad is the damage...?
