  1. Not at E38 you didn't...! Few weeks back was in traffic by Aldershot station, and this group of chavs walked past - one of them just stared at the wheels, pointed at them for his mates and went "that's f**ckin' propa mate, well sweet!" I didn't know whather to take it as a compliment or not! :D
  2. Yeah, he says the rims have alredy been polished before, and that they need doing again, but that he can do it for a small surcharge... It's a set of 9x16 Borbet A, ET 15, 4x100, previously fitted to a Corrado G60. He'd prefer collection, but shipping can be done by prior arrangement. And the one above: he says he's still worried/unsure of the exact postage costs. You can sent money via Post Office transfer (not sure?) since he doesn't have PayPal. He sends stuff to England without a problem, and shipping is insured. I think that's about the gist of it - unless Tempest wishes to add anything?
  3. Lee, I have to say that until E38, all I had seen or heard about your car was the stuff in PVW and the pics on here - but having seen it in the metal, any doubts there are about the quality of your 'rado have been completely dispelled, it's a fantastic car - well done...
  4. Fantastic job Ben - as I said, I wasn't sure about it from the pics bit it works so well... Another quality car courtesy of the Forum...! ;)
  5. Absolutely fantastic car mate, definitely one of the show highlights - and 'Vette rims?! Inspired...
  6. Yeah, I'd agree with the microswitch in the handle being iffy... Get another handle and just swap the lock barrels over... job done!
  7. Could be that the poistive feed from the ignition to the starter solenoid is a bit dodgy - scarlett's is, and half the time it needs a hot-wire from the solenoid to the battery to start... I'd check that you're getting 12V there as yr first port of call...
  8. Well, having spent £60 at Halfords today on cleaning stuff in prep for E38 (damn it'd better be worth it!), I shall be clay-barring mine at about 7am tomorrow, after having fitted all my interior trim back in...
  9. MM, once again your pics really do look top class... Feel free to take as many of the 'rat as you like next time you see her... ;)
  10. That's sooooooooo out of order it's not even on the scale of out-of-order-ness... Shop him to the cops as a kiddie-fiddler, it'd be justice served... Just seeing that makes me angry... :(
  11. Shhhhhhhh, you'll worry the boy! Ride height looks good mate, wheels really suit it more now it's dropped! Class ride buddy! :D
  12. That sucks mate, but a least yr wallet won't take the battering...!
  13. Heheh, I have no qualms about paying a professional to do it for me... ;) And no, I can't afford it, but money's there to be spent - even the money that belongs to the nice Visa and Mastercard people...! See you Friday mate...
  14. Yupyup, I'll be there for sure, gotta drive up to Nikki's tomorrow to get the headlining and sunroof fitted, then I have Friday off to clean and polish two cars! Thnking of throwing one of them at my local friendly valeters to work their ever-so-good magic on... ;) but we all know that's cheating!
  15. [schild=8 fontcolor=000000 shadowcolor=C0C0C0 shieldshadow=1]WTF?![/schild] Furk mate, you know your car's gotta be at E38, it's how a lot of people wished their Corrados looked like! And Bally, yeah, this shiznit is a bit stressful ain't it?! My replacement headlining and sunroof are only going in tomorrow, and the bra still hasn't arrived from Germany... Ya gotta come mate, your rado is sweet on the RCs... :D

    C**TS !!

That really sucks... :( Think we should just have one big series of Big Brother, invite all the scum (let's face it, they all want to be on it), then nuke the house... Harsh? No, natural selection...!
  17. I got my Borbets from Germany because the 17s are non-existent over here... You can get them cheaper, for definite - we only just missed out on getting a set of 7.5 and 9x16 Borbet Ts for £250 delivered... The trick is to go to ebay.de and find all the auctions that say they'll only ship to Germany, then email them and ask if they'll ship to the UK for the extra shipping cost... :D
  18. Dark blue G60 on the A4 near Hungerford yesterday - G6O OW plate :D Think it might well have been someone on here cause they took a good look at the 'rat when no-one else does!
  19. Fitted new GSF pedal rubbers (top tip - soak em in boiling water for a few mins to soften the rubber first!), finally fixed the heater controls thanks to Kev (though that was about a week and a half ago...), fitted ultra-rare brand-new OEM Hella VR6 top -tint rear lights... Bought AEZ alloys for scarlett, discovered the centre-bore is slightly too large... Have to wait til tues to get some custom spigot rings made... But at least she'll have four matching wheels!
  20. Awww, bless em Nick, at least you have a boss who takes time to know what his staff are into...
  21. Make that two...
  22. Apologies... Mine is a case of Failure #2 on the Kev chart... Am planning to replace the entire assembly rather than repair it, so will post how hard it is once I've done it!
  23. Nope, the engines are just mounted inline as opposed to transversely...
  24. That's dedication to the cause, that is...! Nice one Daz, should be a good E38 for 'rats!
  25. keep digging that hole Dom...! Jay, have to say that your car is gonne be one of the ones I scrutinise very closely at E38, really cannot wait to see it, and Ben's, in the metal... I remember seeing it at NR in Guildford a couple of years ago and you were telling myself and Phil K how you'd managed to trade up to the Porsche splits without actually really spending any money! Definitely a candidate for rado of the year...
