There are some good people out there. A bloke knocked on my door once to tell me he'd just knocked my wing mirror off. Came round the next day with a new one and fixed it. Hope you get yours sorted :D
-
LOL, I forget the VR is so low sometimes and drive a bit too fast (don't tell Alex  ). BTW, your new car is looking good 8) !!
-
I don't really like the look of them up when they're parked up but when I'm driving I love watching it pop up (As well as paying attention to the road, obviously!). Its got novelty value I suppose, not many other cars have one!
-
LOL, that's why I bought my diesel golf instead of a gti. I bought the golf because I want a cheap runaround and I knew if I got a gti I'd want to do things to make it better. At least with the diesel I hate it so much I have no inclination to do anything to it!!
-
16v I am very confused by your pic? wtf is it?
-
LOL, I do that too. Can't help it, I love that car. And I love the speedlines, wouldn't swap 'em for anything.
-
Thankfully, this is in my golf not the VR. The golf radiator costs half the price!! Bought one this afternoon......Just need to swap 'em over now! Hopefully, I can get it done tomorrow morning as I'm supposed to be working!! Do you think I can take sick leave? I'm not poorly but my car is :(
-
Err, there's no rain. Although if I laid under my car, I could pretend it was raining. As soon as I pour water in to the expansion tank, it drips out the bottom of the radiator. Oh well, off to GSF I go then.....
-
I need someone to answer what is probably quite a simple question but bear with me, I'm female  Am I right in thinking that the radiator just has two hoses, one at the bottom and one at the top, and this is all that goes in/out of the radiator ?? In other words, if there is water dripping down my radiator, the opposite side to both the hoses, then my radiator is fubar'd?? (in my golf, btw)
-
lol, that's why I stay out of discussions like this.
-
lol, my thoughts exactly!
-
I don't know either, that was probably one I got wrong!! EDIT: have just read the link that dinkus posted. Still don't understand, they all seem the same to me. :?
-
hmm, I got 30. On my proper test I got 35/35 though!
-
Mine's an early one- a 93 k reg, and it's only a TD not a TDi if that makes any difference. Mine is 74bhp, according to haynes.
-
My turbo golf has 74bhp, so the turbo adds 10 bhp??? Hardly worth it is it?
-
Mine has a turbo and it is still really slow!!
-
I don't dislike anything about the corrado. Now if this thread was about diesel golfs then I would never stop typing!! Maybe the reason why I love the corrado so much is that I have to drive the golf every day so when I drive the VR I really appreciate it!!
-
not that I'm biased in anyway but buy a VR they're better!! oh, and hello!!
-
Er, what about a 'rado VR6?? Fun car under £4000.
-
Probably been done, but whats the worst bit of a C to clean?

How about all of it? I hate cleaning cars, even when it's one I love as much as the VR! I get bored after about 10 mins and can never be bothered to polish it too. -
When will it end? Man killed by thieves in his OWN car!

lol, love that insult. Saving that one to memory next time someone annoys me  -
Totally agree, as soon as I drove my first c (1.8 16v) I was in love! Now I have the VR, it's just a great drive. Every time I drive it, it puts a massive smile on my face :D Have driven a mk2 gti 8v and although it was fun, is nowhere near as great as a corrado!!

I agree with everything that TomB says. A big branch jumped out at me (honest) and broke my wing mirror the other day, if it had been in the VR, I would have cried but because it was the golf I just shrugged and carried on driving. The ONLY reason I have my golf is because I spend a large part of my working life driving onto farms and round country roads getting dirty and I could not do that in the C. Every time I drive the golf I miss the VR but at least I know it's on the drive at home and can take it out on weekends :D
