Might be going to the Christchurch food festival during the day but football ko is at 1500 and is the last game of the season so as much as I'd love a bit of vdub fun im not missing the footy ;) sorry guys. If you were going earlier would think about but I'd still need to be back for 1500! Take some pics and have fun

Looks good but unfortunately clashes with the football so will have to give this one a miss I'm afraid. How the weather holds out :)

Is this on this weekend? Didn't even realise? haven't made any plans?

Sad news, created some of the finest cars! Rip

Keep up the good work pal, wheels look like some stretch! :) look forward to some full view shots

Pending finish and prices would be interested to see? Problem with all red rears as I have is passing mots? My all red rears have faded slightly so aren't such an issue now :)

ill keep the recirc valve, have all the pipework etc for it, i Just wasn't sure what hose connects to the top of my re-circ valve to create the vacuum for it to work? Also the rotrex hard pipe doesn't have a hole welded in so im not sure what to do with the isv feed pipe? i thougt this could be blanked off, if not i guess it cant just be left open with out a filter on it? wonder what the other guys used who used the rotrex install kit with the metal hardpipe? im a bit clueless when it comes to all the extra hoses for the intake system and what they do/why they're needed?

Looking good bud, liking the plastic cover, looks very oem. Think if you painted the manifold too it will look ace and give you the option to run with te plastic cover or with out pending mood :)
-
Looking good mate, your having the boot trimmed in alcantara now? Where will it end :) did you still have those seals for the mk4 calipers? Think they're the same as rado ones? Trying to get hold of chubby about potential fitting next week? Oh and we aiming for 15th for this curry with John?

Despicable me 7.2/10 kids film but very enjoyable Troll hunter 9/10 loved it, in Norwegian with English subs. Great story line, scenery is gorgeous. Loved the way they explained everything so well, kept wondering to myself at points if it was actually true lol :) Avengers assemble 8.5/10 great fun, although a bit predictable but still a great superhero action flick

Love the engine bay. Slight polish on the rocker cover and matt black elsewhere :) very tidy

Thanks Vag-hag, will take a look :) No worries Smudge, understand there is always a to do list :) Ill mark this as sold pending payment to Tony then, presume you'd want it posted for £115, bit far to collect :) Will Pm you my details.

Hi and welcome, There quite a few corrados now around the bournemouth/poole area. Think we should have a forum mini meet :) Any plans for the car? pictures?
-
ive had it on for about a year, cant remember exactly how long to be honest but i only use the car at weekends so have driven probably less than 3k miles? I think i bought it from someone on here, they cleaned it all before sending it to me and it still looks good :) im after £110+postage which i think is fair due to its condition. Royal mail will be about £8 recorded delivery. id accept £115 posted but no less. If thats any good to you let me know?

I'd also add rear wiper deletion but I guess that's each to their own taste? Sns chip and 68mm pulley for a g60 would be my must have cost effective mod. Cost me about £200iirc and best bang for buck you can do. Totally transformed the car into an animal with a Dyno proven gain of 44bhp at the wheels :)

Looks good mate, not trying to sound like a complete numpty but where's the inlet on that inlet manifold? -
Thanks Joni, i have decided to ditch the BMC as much as i loved it and bought a new fresh cone filter :) also as i am using the ccr racing metal hard pipe that goes straight from the rotrex outlet to the vr inlet i have no where else i can locate the maf other than before the charger inlet? I have bought a breather filter for the rocker cover but i could remove the re-circ valve out and plumb this into the inlet if need be, i just wanted to try and keep the charger as fresh as possible and oil free? Can you help with the below seeing as you've installed a rotrex? Just finalising the last parts before I install my rotrex kit. Have a few questions tho as to the pipe work on the throttle inlet and multiple holes that will be left by deleting these and the pcv. I'm planning on blanking off the PVC hose with a breather filter but what happens with the plug that connects into it and the holes that will be left open? Also the charger set up has a metal hard pipe so what happens with the pipe marked by the arrow and the hole it will leave? Puzzles me why so many hoses need to be interlinked? But then again I'm no mechanic. Also I was told the re circ valve I have needs a vacuum hose connecting to the top of it to enable it to function. any ideas how this can actually be done? I sure my mechanic will be ok with it all but I just wanted to be as clued up as I can be when I pop up with all the kit. And last q, I will need to have the maf extended so I can fit it in the wing, I presume some wire will just need to be soldered into place :) Thanks for the help

depends on your budget and if you can do the work yourself or if you will be paying someone. stealth do a drive in drive out turbo install for approx £4.5k iirc but you may need other work like bigger brakes, engine mounts etc. you could source the parts yourself and fityourself but youll need a downpipe etc and correct fuelling mapping. either way youll prob be looking at at least £2k+ Have a look on the forced induction thread, theres plenty to read in there that will help give you an idea :)

Was just wondering where you've routed the pipe that comes from the top of the boost return valve? Thanks for pics, engine bay looks very purposeful ;)
-
I've had both, a tuned g60 and lightly modified Vr. G60 with. Chip, pulley and exhaust etc will be about the same as a Vr for speed. The g60 has an aggressive power delivery, vr6 is smooth but once it gets up to 4k the engine wakes up and the sound is awesome! A g60 is more tuneable but once you get it to 200bhp you'll find anything above that will costs big £££. Where as a vr6 can be bought with that power to start with if you get a well looked after example then you can always save up and supercharge or turbo that for an easy 300bhp. Or to mix it. Up, turbo the g60. It's already low compression. It's been done before on here. From my experience I'd go for a Vr as it has the future potential :) As said drive both and see which one you like!
-
Yeah I feel your conundrum, engine or rims? It's a difficult one. As everyone will probably tell you this is A quiet and subtle filter under 3/4k but as soon as you put you foot down above 4k it just opens up and sounds pure orgasmic ;) Talking myself out of a sale here but bmc's do come up for sale every now and again, just rarely as complete as the one I'm selling? :)
-
Hello, I have for sale my BMC as I'm going to be supercharging my Vr shortly and can't use this in my set up, otherwise I would never consider selling this. Everyone should know by now that these are one of, if not the best filter you can buy for the Vr. There's plenty of threads if you use the search. This filter is in great clean condition and comes with nearly everything needed for a complete fitment. I say nearly everything as when I undid the silver clamp that holds the filter in place the bolt pinged off in the engine bay and for the life of me I couldn't find it! So all you will need is a simple bolt and thread lock nut to tighten the clamp around the bmc. Also it is worth noting BMCs don't fit directly onto the Vr maf, this already has a blue silicone hose attached that reduces the outlet to the maf housing so is a direct bolt on. Included is the: BMC filter/airbox with silicone connector Original box/packaging leaflets Filter clamp Securing bracket Induction hose Plastic adapter 2x bmc stickers I doubt you will find a more complete kit unless buying new. Therefore I want £110 collected or £120 posted. Thank you

Looks awesome buddy, can i ask in your engine pick, where did you connect the hose coming from the top of the re-circ valve? I have a rotrex kit waiting to go on and I'm not fitting it, but just wondered where the top of the re-circ valve connects, also on crankcase, have you deleted the PVC and if so have you just blanked the other connecting holes?

Anyone?
