  1. Daz, "There is no rubbing on my side. Maybe you should lay off the Maccy Dee's Furkan"
  2. Its broken Rob. My drivers one is one up when the ignition is on, but the passengers is only hold down up. Sounds like a ignition switch problem.
  3. Sound, thats top news, Cant wait to see and hear the beast at E38.
  4. Thats so cool. Imagine getting wasted by a rusty old sky blue Scort,
  5. Are they Diamond polished Speedlines with the insided painted black? Caus they look pretty good. as above the interior looks amazing.
  6. Sold to the man with the many cameras. Yay, Pint.
  7. I received a set of 4 un named tickets to Donnington on the 9 and 10th of September. I cant be hassled with the trip up there, but If anyone who is local or nuts about Renault racing, Clio, Meganne and world series, PM me and Ill fling em in the post. Free to a good home.
  8. Black with polished rim looks ace IMO, but is it becoming the new borbet A? Buck the trend, go green.
  9. Im gunning for the Blue corner, A friend has a mk2 Mr 2 and it is a pile of poop. as said before, fun in the dry but unpredictable and scatty in the wet. Plastic fantastic and rattly. If you are in need of a smooth, sometimes lazy drive with the option of howling like a beast when you feel like it, A Vr IMO is the only option.
  10. yesterday after work a colleague comented as i blipped the alarm. "Mmm. A Proper Golf, Bet that goes a bit" 8)
  11. Does anyone know of a VW man in the four marks, alton area that does general servicing and can reset the service indicator on a MK4 golf? My aunt has driven shiteroens for years and used a one man band citroen mechanic for years but he cant do VWs (typical as I spent years estolling the virtues of dubs to wean her off the wobbly plastic monsters) so she is looking for a new spanner monkey. I thought of the phirm but not sure if that would be suitable. any ideas? Thankyouplees
  12. Are you sure you are only 21?? Flat cap and carpet slippers!!![/quote:b686c] LOL, the Gazebo and table were only in there while i returned them to my grandparents after i borrowed them for a BBQ, honest!! The chairs do pretty much live in the car tho....[/quote:b686c] its the bowling balls and waterproofs that raise concerns mate. gazebo and table are essentials for beer drinking but waterproofs are the sort of things that your mum tries to remind you about before you leave on a journey. :)
  13. You might want to try cleaning up the idle stabaliser valve. Not done it on mine yet but once i figure out what it is and how to get it off Im going to soak it in carb cleaner or something of that sort.
  14. Dont let the pipe fool you, I bet he used to thrash the nuts off it! :D
  15. Just looks so right, Love the fact that you have totally revamped the car but left the wheels as they are, Top choices. Is that red lighter suround froma passat? if so which one?
  16. Did that used to be a Pug 407 or a Renault Laguna??? Im liking the spoiler in the boot but the front bumper looks a bit thick. Cool work though.
  17. Flexible screwdriver with random atachments, 4 litres of pre-mixed coolant and water. pack of Chuddy, dried up magic tree, ice scraper, brolly, damp chammois, spare fuses, spare pants. spare contact lenses.
  18. Turn the engine over and leave it running with the cap off the expansion tank. Let the water heat up to about 80 degrees, then the thermostadt opens up and whooshes the water around the system. leave it running a bit and the air should work its way out of the system. to make sure squeeze the hose that leads to teh top of the radiator, that should either create bubbles or raise the level in the tank. then top up with coolant and run for a day or two. then check again. If the system is airtight then all should be good. if it has dropped again you have a leek somewhere.
  19. Put your foot down. A big bonus of the lefty is the fun factor, Slump down in the drivers seat and get a friend in the passengers seat to wave at other cars with both hands.
  20. Have a natter with Talc, he has a gem of a lefty.
  21. Looks much better without the cover. Top looking install.
  22. :thumb right: Thanks Rob thats the sort of info I was looking for, So what you are saying is that most good cameraphones and regular Point and shoot digicams could be blown up to A4 without looking to grainy. But remember folks, dont drop your cameras, think etch a sketch, you might jumble up your pixels.
  23. Cheers Phil. Hadn't thought of that, Ill mention it and get some minimum resolutution sizes for each size print. But obviously the higher the resolution the better the final result would be.
