Top alloy wheel refurbishers in Surrey/Hants/London area?
ZippyVR6 replied to martyjmcfly's topic in Suppliers Forum
Ive heard bad stuff about spit and polish. like they hang newly refurbed wheels on meat hooks and they dont consider the insides of the wheel to be part of the refurb. Prestige seem to be the nuts but you gets what you pay for. -
Ive been having a discusion after my brother posed the question "how much have you spent on your car since you bought it?" (9 months ago) Well, stereo, decent set of speedies, couple of services,Discs and pads, hoses, few blingy bits, wax and cleaning stuff, plus 10k at average of 90p per mile at 4.4 litres per gallon at an average of 25 mpg works out at 1600 on fuel and 1900 on stuff, Fcuk me , that is 3 and a half grand!!!! I know that is nothing in the scheme of things (eh Nickvr6 et all) but mine is standard. what is it gonna take to get where I want it to be?????????

As above. Just fitted the kit of Ebay for Blue LEDs on the dials. Seems ok under a towel (not dark yet) but looks like there could be blue glare on the back of the dials. Search brings up loads about this I know as have trawled through a load but what I really want to know is can you rough up the surface of the led to help difuse the light? or will it kill the bulb?

I thought to many aplications of wax would dull the paintwork. so tend to just chammois down and leave it at that for a regular wash. Personally I dont rate the autoglym caus if it gets on trim its is a pig to get out. Meguires Tech wax all the way for me.

Mmmmmmm Might put back on my Fox Racing alloys, 8)

There is a reason people fit winter wheels. and it is not for the sake of the wheels. Dont you just love kneeling in a puddle with a cloth up to your elbows in brakedust. :)

Get yourself a Mic extension and fix it under the hood. Loadsa engine noise a bit of tyre squeal and none of you going Ohhhhhhhhhh Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttt as you sling it down the straight. -
That is a magic shot, especially with the Bobet As on one side and 310s on tother. She looks even meaner gunning down the M3 on full chat. In her jimmy Choos but ready to issue a dry slap to anyone who gets in the way :)

the 172 I raced against handled better in the wet than mine. I was slipping about till a staight then it was shown what for. Cant comment on 182 other than it looks a bit bland and a bit girly, even in burn your eyes orange. Sorry but I just think it is a bit shopping trolley, especially when compared your your previous.

Quality Andy, I was on a lads beer holiday to Belgium a couple of years ago, we were sat outside a cafe suppin fine stella and watching the world go by, when a nice looking lass drove round the narrow one way street and tried for 20 mins to get her micra into a space. She ended up nudging the cars front and back of her and then across the street as she managed to do a 20 point turn and end up parked facing the wrong way. Finally with one wheel still on the kerb she deemed it good enough and got out to a rapteous aplause from us and a few locals who had stop to admire. Kept us chuckling for a couple of hours. :) Ah thousand Posts. :D
