scarlett replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
ohhhh... fancyness with a cover would be cool...!!! -
big deep breath Neil...! lol.... chill.....! have to admit I wouldnt touch em either, ugly, ugly cars... (imho of course!)
-
the important bit is tho that no one was hurt, could have been nasty....! hope your insurance will cover you for it all ok... poor Rado... thats another one gone.. :(
-
the Parons look fab in 17'' as seen on G60 Dans C.... me likey.... :)
-
it also depends how much power your looking for... you should be able to get 160bhp ish from a valver with the mods that have been mentioned - if thats not enough then you would be better thnking about selling up and putting your cash into a VR or a G60.... imho of course!!! :)
-
aparently there is a good reliable garage in Sandhurst that I was told about last night - i am planning to use them for mine.... I'll get the exact name and address and put it up asap.... hth...
-
there are some differences between the shape of the bonnet/bumper and a larger fuel tank on the late body.... some, like my valver, were crossover, later body and early interior... theres not much difference... check out the buyers guide, am sure it explains it all.... as for mpg, from personal experience expect 30-35 mpg from a valver, more if you dont have a heavy right foot! hth....
-
buy a 2ltr - good mpg, good performance and lots of fun. there a good way to start your Corrado ownership.... infact, I'm selling one cos I bought another!!! seriously a valver is a good introduction to C ownership, lets you see if you can afford the time and the money and theres lots of nice cheap and easy mods you can do to personalise it.... you can always go for a g60 or a VR later..... oh, and welcome by the way....!
-
mine was doing this when the alternator was on its way out... alternator went boom, i replaced it and shes fine now!!! tho, as with all rado problems, theres probably a few things it could be....
-
its another red 2 ltr but with all the mods i had planned for this C (fk's, KR Cam....) and all the history etc... it belongs to Sambo on this forum and it is a beauty and will be a good base for what I plan to do with the engine as it been meticulously looked after.... was gonna get a VR but think I'll stick with the valvers for now.... :)
-
yup - thats only about the 3rd time I've switched them on! (the other times being in fog - strangely enough....) keep looking at the pics and wondering if getting rid of her is the right thing to do.... :( then I drive her in this weather with no heating and it definately seems like the right move...! :)
-
ooo-er!!! 'Guildford Corrado Orgy'....! I can see the headlines now....... :)
-
yeah.... but neither of you two showed your car some 'corradowales style lovin' while you were there... well, not that you could photograph and put on a public forum....
-
pfft - typical.... u men never notice anything we do..... :) great place for pics tho.... mine didnt scrape (one advantage of the rollerskate look!!) but i was utterly paranoid about catching new wheels on the kerbs at the ramps.....
-
i usually read it all too.... its nice to hear that people have as many probs as I do!!!! lately all I've had done is the new wheels on because, shhhhhhh dont let her hear me, shes working absolutely fine.... yay!!!
-

-
good looking C Phil.... Yours doesnt look all that bad either....!!! funnily enough though, I seem to recognise the back drop in those pics........ :)
-

-

-
Talking of filling arches...... Had to do a wee photoshoot to show off the utterly PHAT 9x16 Borbet T's we got off eBay.de for £260, including Toyo Proxes T-1S... :D And yes, I know she needs dropped, but all that will be sorted soon... ;) Hope you like......!!

the best makes for nice deep dish euro rims are schmidt, keskin, borbet, rial, brock - stuff like that... theres loads of them on http://www.ebay.de, and you can search by wheel width, offset, stud pattern, etc... here's some 9x16, 5x100 alloys on there at the mo - looky-looky! :D
