    Yes and just goes to show that power is not everything and i have always said that my gearbox is useless for my engine. Even a new polo gti i presume it was gave a good race till the 1/8 mile point.

    Man have i got that much power, nice :twisted: Thiught about putting the R888's on as well but the smallest i can put on would be 16's due to the brembo's. Course you can av a run mate 8) but its prob some time off due to lack of funds at the mo most likely looking at gti spring festival next year, but at least it gives me plenty of time to get it right and only do it once. Hopefully can run on full boost then as i was on 1.1 bar and not 1.5. Still on standard clutch at the mo its did struggle slightly at the pod. Actually tried a 2nd gear launch and for that i think it def needs a uprated clutch as it did go pear shaped :oops:

    Not eatin away at me but i really dont understand why they get put on peoples cars??????? Considering a lot of people buy the corrado cos of its looks how can it be justified a good looking mod??????
  9. I'm in the totally wrong side of things. I think they ruin a good looking front end and i don't really care if it stops stonechips cos your still gonna get some somewhere.

  13. i turbo'd mine and its awesome but it did cost alot but its different and cant get more than 300bhp without losing reliability.

  17. But if thats what you like then who cares bout havin different wheels. It dont matter what you put on some1 else will have those too eg keskins, BBS, Borbets. If people have them on its usually cos they look good on that style car. At least you wont see your local pikey/chav mobile with them on and you can laugh at his naff chrome pimp wannabe chariot.
  18. Its mydaily drive too. Standard FPR 3 bar map sensor on aftermarket Haltech ECU440cc injectors Bighead is larger exhaust valves in the 8v head.

He likes pulling it apart all the time its what he does best, make it good, drive for a week then pull it apart and make it better etc. Good work been thinking of doing this myself just wasnt sure if i could get the a pillar bars behind the dash and into the speaker grills, but as shown it can be done. Any ideas how much it can be done for now they have the template? Would you take my roof out for a few beers lol.
  20. doneall the front bushes and roll bar and bushes and its a huge difference in terms of responsiveness, but as dinkus says you do get less comfort with less give in the bushes, but its only really crashy on the worst of the roads. I also prefer to do the rear bushes to rid of the passive rear wheel steer as it makes it a lot more predictable round high speed corners, it no longer feels like its going to suddenly snap at any moment. Usually uprating the rear arb will tighten up the steering meaning less understeer which in turn means more responsiveness.
  21. What sort of power is it making now? The IHI VF22 makes 0.5 bar at around 2500rpm and 1.5 bar at 3000rpm and holds till 7000rpm if needed to but its currently set up to tail off to 1.3 bar upto the redline. it holds 300bhp from around 4000ish rpm to the limiter.

  23. Nows the time to be different then, go on take it off. Some of the cars that get featured are crap and different so it sounds like a surefire way to get in the mags then.
  24. Heard that about GAP, they take ages to get an engineer out and say its not their fault and apparently can charge way too much for sub standard work.
