Congratulations on the new job, especially after the years of working hard to make the change. Enjoy the BM and see you back in a Corrado soon.

Bristolbaron's R32 Corrado - New owner - clumpy1!!!
Butterfly replied to bristolbaron's topic in Members Gallery
Nice. A pic of your car popped on my Facebook late last night. I was tagged in it by my brother-in-laws son (from 1st marriage so not a nephew) asking if it was one I (or Kip) knew. You down Cornwall, or maybe Devon way for a car show on the weekend?? You can run but you can't hide... the Corrado www will track you down. -
National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands
Butterfly replied to Tempest's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Just a couple of shots from today. Some a bit different than those already posted. And ending with a little something we couldn't help but pass (cause it was in the inside lane...) on the way home. GREAT day out. Many thanks to everyone who came especially those with a long long drive..... I am so glad to be home (and many thanks to Mark DJMAC56 & Fiona for putting us up last night) -
National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands

Good man. Can't beat a bit of stopping over though. And doubling up to share the fuel costs. See you Sunday. -
To add to the debate.. I had a screen replaced in my daily with 175k miles and the paint work around the selant was 100% perfect. I don't think a screen had ever been fitted before! Whereas I had a new screen in my Storm a few years back and it must have had a few in its time. There was rust and it did the flat bed to the paintshop & back trip. Kips VR was the same. If you are putting the car through having a screen it doesn't make sense not planning on some paintwork attention just in case. But back to the question of is it OK to have it done out of a workshop. You have to leave the car stand for an hour or so while the bonding sealant sets as it forms a part of the structure of the car. Done in a workshop they know they are not releasing the car until enough time has passed. If they do the job on your drive and leave straight away they have no way of knowing it will not be driven until the sealant is set hence I can see why some would only take on the work in the depo.

We can't afford to drive 2 VRs to Surrey & back so my car wont be there. -

only little scratches from ages ago that no-one really ever noticed... other than judges of course They are indeed. Nowt but the best for this Corrado!!
-
Dave - I have this if you are interested. It's not the same of the red plastic cover version I think was 'genuine' but it does appear to have a Corrado pictured on it!! Dimensions are 44cm x 16 x 2.5 and it was in my 'between seats zip pocket' when I bought my current Storm. £10 at the National Day?

Update for Chris. See page 8 (if logged in), 19th Dec for pics of the two rear beam brake line clips. It would be more useful if I had listed the part numbers for each type but I didn't...

Anyone see Trigger on 'The Apprentice' last night???
Butterfly replied to Walesy's topic in Off-topic Chat
Not sure which link I was looking at but the prices looked very interesting too! -
He's safe, his folks dont use the internet let alone the Corrado Forum!! But I might blackmail him to keep my mouth shut!
-
I know, I know, I know... but I think there is some small print that says I can't enter. Anyway, for anyone thinking Kip must earn a fortune, he doesn't! But he was kindly give a little windfall and, as ever, the first thing that comes to mind is spend it on the car. He was given the windfall with the message "don't spend it all on the car" He is a dead man if I tell tales on him :) :) :)

Way back when I did my rear beam Kip asked me to buy double of everything... then over time he forgot and has just ordered everything again. I therefore have loads of bolts & clips and rear bushes which are no use to me... If you are interested in buying them off me let me know and I'll list what I have and name a price :)
