  1. I hope Kip doesn't mind me posting these. It was a BIG day yesterday and I couldn't resist getting the camera out to record many of the moments! That rear nearside quarter looks a lot better. Looking happy & Got a bit of rebuilding to do!
  2. Quick reminder that the CCGB has a club stand at VWNW Tatton for this coming Sunday 7th Aug. There are 2 spaces available so if you are interested book a place on the CCGB site. See anyone who is going there. Fingers crossed for good weather again (it makes cleaning on arrival sooooo much easier :) )
  3. Saw Cars2 yesterday. Was a very contrived storyline and getting half the Union Jacks upside down was a bit of a faux pas. I would rate it 6.5 / 10. It had some funny bits but I was looking forward to the end!
  4. The hall is full of camping gear again. I've a set of wheels to wrap up and drop off on the way but I'll be there camping this evening so see the campers later and the Sunday visitors on Sunday :)
  5. Ah, the 'contact use' link appears to be broken. No wonder my emails have been a bit quiet!! Michael, I've got your info from the payment notification so will drop you a pm now.
  6. No prob. I'm wondering if they will be worth keeping but were only changed cause they werent clean and shiney... lol
  7. I guess you have bought replacements? I have the ones I took off the Storm with 64k miles on if you wanted to replace cheaply!! Dont know what would be a going rate thought.
  8. Depending on the up close condition that second one sounds interesting. Older guy owner and SORNed the last 5 years. Mileage is double the Nugget Kip bought last year but reserve is low IF it is really tidy and sound and IF there are any other nutters around who will payout for a good condition Nugget.
  9. Thanks for the bump Fuzzer.. And while I remember tomorrow is the last day for pre booking tickets to get the discounted price.
  10. National Day itself is Sunday 24th July at Shelsley Walsh but there is a two day event at the venue if members want to make a whole weekend of it. The Shelsley Mini-Midlander and Classic Meetings details as per http://www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk/events/content.asp?ms=21&ei=116 Prebooked entry tickets can be obtained for a discounted price of £12 per day if booked no later than 10 days before the weekend starts i.e. no later than Weds 13th July Pay at the gate price is £15 a day. As usual we will be having our own show & shine competition but Shelsley Walsh also have a free-to-enter Car-Park Concours d'Elegance. A small number of camping places are available at £7.50 a tent. There are no facilities in the camping field but the Shelsley Walsh facilities are available across the road 24 hours. If you are interested in camping please email the CCGB at webmaster@corradoclub.org to check availability.
  11. Well I can confirm my Storm lives in the garage. One of Kips has to live away from home (and for the last 6 months that has been at a body shop and not at the rental address!)
  12. I have a first aid kit in a soft red zipped bag. Bought it brand new from a dealer about 4 years ago but now have a 1995 one. Dimentions are 25cm x 15cm x 7-8cm (depending on if you squash it!) I'll put up a pic when I have time and if you are interested can post for £15. I've got a warning triangle too if you need one of those!
  13. £60 of food is a lot of food for us. Alcohol, biscuits, crisps etc will push the bill up but for basic foods £60 is a lot. If a tank is not fully empty you could get 60litres in so 60 litres with 10p off = £6. 10% off your food bill is hardly earth shattering and only obtainable if you need £60 of food and have an empty tank. I guess I am lucky in that I don't drive long distances very often or eat loads!
  14. yep that one was mine. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?35322-Butterflys-thread-OMG-how-long-till-spring/page13&highlight=butterflys
  15. Will be nice to have a semi usable conservatory again (though I can hardly talk as it has been my wheel store for too long this spring!) when the full interior and sundry external fittings go back where they belong :)
  16. I was just looking for the Like button then remembered I'm not on FB! LIKE :)
  17. One of mine was a bu&&er to put back as basically it had been stuffed in previously and the arm on the right was bent in as it hadn't been seated properly. Getting it to go where it should when the bend had 'permanently' set in was fun and involved some long thin stiff tools to persuade it to go where it should. I'm sure you would notice if you have a bend where your shouldn't but I thought I would mention my experiance just in case. Good luck
  18. Yeah checking the 'remember me' seemed to solve the problem yesterday. Just been thrown out so logged in again with it checked and we will see.....
  19. It's a reduced price if you buy your ticket in advance. £16.95 a day. advance reduced rate ticket sales end on 13th June
  20. Wierd. It shows me as being logged in but says I'm not when I try to post. then I refresh and it says I AM logged in. click 'whats new' & it shows NOT logged in. Click it again and it shows I AM... and has allowed this post!!!!!
  21. I used to get this problem but have more or less solved it. I hardly ever log in!! (made an exception especially to post this :) ) ha ha. and it's just taken me 15 mins to edit the typo as I got logged out. And everytime I logged in it kicked me out straight away. cleared cookies, still the same. rebooted pc and so far so good. waiting with fingers crossed when I hit save. :)
  22. depends on the products and processed used. As a ball park figure I would say its OK (£1000 or £200 would both be very wrong). Wings, are they going to spend time getting the dings out or just knocked them back a bit and use filler? How deep are the bonnet chips? Are they going back to bare metal or going to fill and smooth? What primer, paint, lacquers do they use? (though the answers might not mean anything to you they should spend time explaining) You could spend some time getting other quotes and talking to the bodyshops about what they envisage needing doing and what paint etc they use... or you could just go with the one quote you have and get on with the rest of your life (keeping fingers crossed they do a good job)
  23. From what I've read the ins co are not disputing 'at fault' etc. They are just asking for confirmation to go to court in your name to recover their funds from their failure to progress their paperwork. As before, make sure the no win no fee is in writing and keep fingers crossed the court goes in your (ins co) favour. If it doesn't then you need to get into to question of the claim remaining against you.
