Have you checked the dealer price? 45p each might not be that far off!!

OMG. I am so glad to hear your wife was OK.. though she will probably start hurting more before getting better. If you need any help with the offer I've the receipt for £1.6k for the 8v I bought 2 years ago with 135k miles and a few bodywork dents if it helps to get your offer increased.
-
Another 8v used as a daily fan here. Though I must say I am sorry to hear that you are planning on parking it up and not selling later in the year as I would have been down like a shot with the cash for it.... If you change your mind again let me know :)

I'm with Wendy on this one (which won't be a surprise to her or many others). Don't do anything major for a while...you will find unpacking boxes takes ages anyway! Live in it and get a feel for what you want. And a 52" TV is not a focal point, though 1,000's obviously don't agree with me (my brother in law included)!!

Yep that bad. I Would get 47 / 48 on a steady trip to bristol no problem but am now happy to see 40. It does stick well but also feels heavy for it and as a daily the economy is more important.
-
You running 195s on it? I put some 'left over' 205s on mine a while back and haven't seen nog like that for ages. Will be glad when the rubber is finished and 195s go back on. Using up the 205s has probably cost me their worth in reduced economy! Oh well, live and learn.

I'm intrigued as to how you will share a bottle with it. Hopefully not by pouring some in the cooling water... maybe the screen wash though?

Simple answer re those having an issue due to the 'age' of the car is to get a private plate then no-one really knows what the age is.

2012 Corrado Forum Calendar! - All Over For Another Year!
Butterfly replied to _Meth's topic in General Car Chat
Kip got his on the 25th :) He was a little dissapointed when he saw his pile of presents as he couldn't see which was the calendar as I had loosely rolled it into a big tube. He was extra happy when he worked out which one it was. Many thanks for the work in producing it and our attempting to keep it a secret! -
Flipp. That is seriously not nice. Can you try a bit of detective work or was it parked where there is lots of traffic flowing through? Feel for you.

I can't help with any info on long term storage but I do keep an eye out for 8v prices. Kip & I both drive 8v's as dailys and for those in the know (and with a VR tucked up somewhere) it's a great car. There are two 8v on Autotrader. One with body kit (mileage not stated) @ £1.5k and one with 125k miles @ £2k. Both are dealers. I changed my 8v 2 years ago and paid £1600 privately then spent on overhauling the brakes and have put new suspension on. If you were happy to hold out for someone who knew what they wanted and they wanted an 8v I would say £1.5 - 2k would be a fair price from what you say and if I needed another 8v for any reason I would be down there like a shot. But there's not many that really appreciate the 8v. If you do keep it a few years then decided that having it sitting around is not good let me know as I would probably be looking for another lower mileage to swap to!!

As treasurer I can confirm registration/payment was 30th May. However I have no information on and can not comment on when membership info was put in the post. But all that aside many thanks for your views on your experiances and all comments taken on board. Regards Judith

Pat (Neil) :) If you register and select the 'pay by cheque' option we'll get notification and authorise access as we know you are currently paid up. Regarding never having had a Sprinter in 2009 or since could you ask Jim if he has any spare backdated copies to send you? And I am sure Jim would be very grateful for an article, or two. Hope to see you Sunday 1st April (no joke) at Gaydon Heritage Centre ;)

I believe so... and the thread is so old there is a not so little one on the scene too :)

And now it is withdrawn... another less misleading advert to follow?

You missed no15. Having spent so much time and effort and MONEY on it you dare not leave it outside or park in a supermarket so buy a cheap run around, stick the C in a garage and hardly ever use it. :) -
I'm not surprised by the win... was more surprised you didn't enter at Harewood (but glad you didn't ;) ) Congratulations
-
Ah, it's in is it. Yeah, many thanks to Jim for responding on behalf of the club (though we had a bit of a joint committee effort with what to say :) )

I've gone all funny :) If you need any tips on how to get the new bushes in the front engine support cross mount give us a shout. Kip can do it with his eyes shut in about 3mins a bush ;)
-
Nice to have the rear door cards out from on top of the bedroom wardrobes :) and looking much better with all the dust cleaned off them.

I was going to enquire about a new dipstick tube at VW. Bet you'll know if they're obsolete or not ? They weren't obsolete 2 years ago when his engine bay work was done... can't say for now though.
