g12+ is the latest version of VW's branded antifreeze, and is a replacement for g11 and g12. Personally I think that it's a load of rubbish. Antifreeze is antifreeze is antifreeze. I put some generic antifreeze in mine and it's been fine. -

Most of the 5000 that were built were at G Werks for their open day back in the winter... I like them... They're a bit different, in a good way.

I was thinking on my way home last night, I reckon you could get some injector extensions made up out of steel tubing or drilled bar to go between the rail and the injectors. Wack some profile shots of the injectors up so we can see what they're like...

I was cross when I heard this, and after I got thinking, I realised £400p/a was actually about £1.10 per day to drive a car around. Which could be worse. I don't imagine anyone here is going to struggle that hard to find £1.10 per day instead of 55p... I still think it's rubbish. But I'm more placid after doing the maths. Besides it's only new cars, so the corrados will be fine... Will be cancelling my Veyron order though, as the increase will push me into the red... :wink:

I know your collective pain, I thought I'd been caught in the past and had a couple of weeks of buttock clenching, but was lucky. Then again, I thought I had seen one in time and got a 3 point bonus through the post... Arse.

I was looking at this the other day. You cannot buy the slider pins from VW without the caliper carrier($$$$). You can buy the boots however, so I did... They come with a little sachet of silicone jipper to lube the pins with too.... Don't know about the Mk3 items though.

Funnily enough I read that webpage a couple of years ago. I like the theory behind it.... I think I'll try it, one day.... What sort of power and torque do you think you are getting? And how much benefit do you think the megasquirt makes?

Deifinitely don't run on compressed air.... I think the bottle is filled with oil or coolant and they have their own lubrication system rather than run off the engine oil... Best person to as is Mr Fusion, he's got one, in fact theres a thread on it in this very section...

I'm really interested by this, it's a route I plan on taking, although I expect I will use a standard 9A bottom end. IYou talked about running it in 'hard' and I've heard various things said about this approach, but I'd like to know how you did it?

If anyone ever has this problem again, warm the car up (not till it's really hot or owt) and slowly updo the cap. the pressure will push the centre section out. And you'll lose some water.

I think the OBD2ness is all to do with the sensors and throttle body, so you should be fine using bits from your existing engine. -
You've got to buy the whol pulley I believe, mine has just failed and it's not 2 years old.... I'm just ignoring the noise for the time being though...
