I always wonder about the light that has bounced off the earth and kept travelling into space for zillions of miles, if we could catch it up and get in front of it and then observe the light, could we then see the past?

A German sheppard, old English sheep dog, golden retriever, black lab, pug, and a couple of setters. People bring dogs into work here.

Am sure the one that's gone isn't too old and was a non-genuine part. Might ring up gsf and see if they can tell me the makes as pretty sure i got an snr last time
-
Just been to VW to order a front wheel bearing and they are now discontinued as well. VW heritage sell a Meyle one = £24.50 Or from other suppliers: ECP and gsf so probably get up to £50% off these prices. SNR = £51 Lucas = £33 GSF just do a standard or premium £30 or £64, can't tell what makes.

I've still not watched star wars

Almost got it sorted. Had this made, but got my measurements a bit off, so the narrow diameter is 2mm too small. Going to have to get another made up.
-
Good investment piece this. Deserves to be sat in a drawer somewhere.

I managed to adjust the brake pedal so it lines up with the clutch now, i think because the brakes are the teves20 system the master cylinder shaft that joins to the pedal has been modified. Still sure my clutch sits too far forward as i had to trim off some of the under dash trim because it was returning so far and hitting it. Maybe this is due to the clutch master cylinder being slightly different, again i think the shaft is longer.

Looks great that. The left side rear lights are just slightly out of line, me being a but ocd. They are quite easy to adjust.

My works out at 9000miles a year for 11yrs. Been off the road for about 3yrs in that time

I went to vw to get one a couple of weeks ago and they are discontinued. They showed me some on vw heritage and told me they would fit, but to me they looked like non-vr6 engines codes. Eurocarparts or gsf list one which looks right and with the discount code it's not too expensive, but i haven't got round to buying it yet

Dox, found a place on ebay that can make up a sleeve for me. Think that'll have to do. Not what i wanted really, nothing wrong with the old cat really, just needed a new clamp and thought I'd treat the car
-
A quick Google seems to suggest this is true I could order a miltek cat back, but like the magnex i have now.
-
Am being told they are designed to fit the new miltek cat back systems. Going to have to get a piece made up to extend it. Not ideal but probably the quickest, less hassle way of getting it sorted.
-
Miltek cat was from vw parts international and the other one is the one from car. Original i believe.
-
I'd get a few of these. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142320658462

Just my luck. Gone to fit my miltek sports cat today and it seems too short. Anyone else had this issue? Am talking with the place i got it from but can't see it being resolved quickly. Took long enough to get the cat.

I left my bonnet on. Stuck the foam and used magnets to hold it on while glue dries. I didn't use the waffle type foam though, i think its thicker and more squishy than the flat stuff.
-
Cheers, more expensive than i thought. Maybe you are right, i just take it all apart and get them to press it in.
-
I use a crane, i love it, one of my favourite things. Any excuse to do a bit of craning
-
Need to sort out a bearing on the front of car, i had it done a while back but i have suspicions they just tightened it and didn't change it, but charged me as if they had changed it. What sort of press do i need? Thinking of buying one so i can do something like this at home.
-
Looks pretty similar, is loads of adjustment in them.
-
I just use 3 bolts where the rear mount bracket sits

No one cared about mpg in the 90s. Not like it is now.
