Weirdly if i look up mk4 r32 pumps, most of them list all corrados as compatible as well as a lot of other cars. Going to go to dealers today and see what they charge.
-
Cheers for info. Do you know if it needs to be from a certain model or are they all the same.
-
I've noticed it on mine and that's been with about 4 different spring kits and coilover. Think its normal

Am sure I've heard mentioned about using a different pas. Think it was a mk4 golf one maybe but had anyone got any info on it. Something is making a noise and despite being practically new I'm going to fit new pas and water pump. Sounds like a bearing to me. The last pas pump i fitted wasn't a vw one, was a trw, quite a bit cheaper.

Not sure if this is how car was before or because i've replaced a few parts. Noticed the clutch pedal is quite high in position (not bite point), compared to the brake and accelerator pedal. Can't see any way to adjust the position of clutch pedal, it returns fully back to a metal stop so seems correct. Am wondering if the brake can be raised and if playing with the accelerator cable i can raise the accelerator as well. Felt awkward driving it earlier. On a good note though it passed MOT today so at least i'm driving it.

The rear lights can leak too. Sometimes just cleaning up the seals is enough
-
yeah, i think it does contribute to the battery tray rotting.
-
The battery one is normal, just a silly design, the water runs down the top of wing and onto the battery, i once added a little strip of foam tape to mine to divert the water, but looked naff and removed it now the car sits in a garage.

After having it happen to me twice now, i think i will renew the fork with a clutch change from now on. £500 isn't too bad, its quite a bit of work to do at home.
-
Maybe the clutch fork snapped

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371793809491 I didn't use their fixing kit, i already had some VW ones i used
-
They are good quality and well made, i went for the luxury ones (about £50). I had to make the holes for the lugs to keep drivers mat in place, buts thats easy enough. They are a slightly different fit to the last ones i had, but quite happy with the fronts, the rears are a bit odd, but i think they always were a bit strange shape.

I found a place local to me that makes mats, bought some for my fiesta and was impressed so just ordered some for corrado, (fitted them last night)

From the tank to fuel filter its rubber hoses, and these have the unions on them. Then underneath the car you have the three plastic lines which run to the engine bay, then they go back to rubber lines in the side of the head. They do disappear in to a channel in the floorplan. I noticed mine had the remains of some foam at that point, but had perished away to dust, so i added new foam. But i could see the plastic lines could rub there, that's about midway down the car. I recall someone saying the golf vr6 lines are the same, but not sure about it. Or you could replace with a cupronickel pipe. But that might be fiddly without the right tools

I know that feeling.. Lol. Every box i open seems to have a coil pack in it.
-
I have one of each, i use the one with closed slats as i like to think it lets less dirt into the engine bay  I wondered if the difference was anything to do with having aircon
-
I fit the trumpet with the screw in it the wrong way round to the diagram, seems to work better for me. I noticed it can catch on the slam panel opening the cable passes through
-
I got both sides about 2-3yrs ago, Annavr6 on here was very helpful with it.
-
The guy i bought my corrado from is a local mechanic, i had him round not too along to do the cambelt on the audi i had. Think you are just out of his range though. He did the first clutch on the corrado.
-
pic seems a bit dark
-
Weirdly i guy i know just got back and sent me a photo of a corrado he saw out there. will try and link it here
-
Mines just about to hit 230,000
-
Put the corrado badge back on. Still got the vr6 one to stick on. Repainted it in halfords satin black
-
Gets rid of a few crappy bits of pipe that end up leaking oil everywhere
-
So i have the inlet elbow blanked off and the pipe from the blue valve to the throttle body (same as yours) The pipe from cam cover runs along the bulkhead and to a catch can mounted near the aux water pump Hard to see but the catch then has a breather hose which i've run down to the steering rack, has a small filter on the end.
