Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
Jim Bowen replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
is this still the place to get the handle repair kit? or are the ebay ones the same? -
i like the side strips on, i think the car looks weird without them. i'd also have the debadged grill with a VR6 badge in silver on it (like mine) 8) but its all personnal taste really.

I had this before but i lived with it, now it seems to of gotten worse. basically i try to unlock the car and the door pin rises a little bit then gets sucked back down, and i can't open door. It does it on both doors, but i managed to get the passenger door open, but can't pull pin up manually on the drivers door.. I can also get in the boot. I have noticed in the past that when i lock the car, every thirty seconds or so, there would be a noise, like the pump pulsing and trying to lock car, although its already locked
-
also i notice there are two types of KW1's, the normal ones and the inox line. The inox ones are the stainless steel ones, Not sure if they make the others or not. I just asked for KW1's and they came with inox line written on the box and pics of the other ones they do :confused4:

Where from 3corsameal? The only thing is Id like to get them fitted down G-Werks and would feel like Ive 'cheated' them a little if i gave them a set-up to fit that they sell already!! Again, thanks!! i bought mine from g-werks, and it was about £570 iirc i phoned around a few places when i was buying. And gwerks were the most helpful/cheerful and the cheapest

-
Been looking at the wiring diagrams, but i can't tell. BK/Y is the wire
-
the gear surround he is also selling on ebay, says it originates from a 1993 corrado vr6, if thats any help
-
i've got to take mine apart again soon as when i had it off i forgot to plug the wire in to light up the heater controls  i've have a look for wires when i do that.
-
mine feels a bit like that, i've just assumed thats what people meant by "an involving drive"

-
something like that won't fit  got the socket this morning so will try it when i get home later, hopefully that will work. i had the correct size spanner from work once, but could only hold the temp thingy, couldn't find room to turn the spanner at all :(

i have a halfords one that does the same as you explain, its says something on the front about oil/fluid and what to use, but i never topped mine up or checked any of that. are they refillable or does air get in there? -
in haynes manual terms i think about a 4 spanner job
-
both headunits should come with there own wiring to the headunit, and the other end is what you plug into the iso connector should be a simple swap
-
For that budget i would recommend the KW1's, you should be able to get them for cheaper than that, £550-£575. I had lots of bother with ride height etc when using just a -40mm spring. The KW's have a really good range of heights. -40mm springs on the front of mine were lowering it 90mm from standard, and i tried two sets :confused4: 7.5 and 9.0 is the rim width in inches, (i think)

good stuff, nice to hear i'm still planning to take my car up there and get some bits done, deffo geometry, but may get them to give the engine a once over (i'm not sure what i'm looking for when i look), but its sounding a bit noisy these days
-
the screws are easy to find  i found mine first time with no looking really. if theres a hole in something (slam panel in this case) and no explanation then its usually access to a screw or bolt. you'll need a torch
-
my screws have come out alright, but wouldn't mind replacing them with some nicer ones, let us know if you happen to find some replacements.

Golf VR6 slower then C VR6 - Please explain!
Jim Bowen replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
not been in golf vr6 or driven one, or raced one. Is there much difference in the torque curves? -
i put the damn thing in there when i changed the radiator and its been leaking slightly as i didn't want to tighten it so much i broke it  hopefully a socket will do it then, i might just buy a few around that size
