  1. How much is the tax 8n Ireland then?
  2. I have something like this. Will have to find it. Bought it for my 1995 vr6 and it wasn't the right one.
  3. Whenever i see something like that, i divide the price by 4, then take off whatever profit the seller and the manufacturer are making, and you realise you are adding £20 worth of suspension to each corner.
  4. The problem is every corrado came with the badges and VW sold spares, so there should be alot more badges than corrados, people hoard stuff. Its that "just in case" mentality, these badges and parts that could help out fellow corrado owners end up sat in drawer for years.
  5. Stumbled across this today. Got to be one of the lowest mileages I've seen. http://www.groomsandvrooms.co.uk/cars/corrado-vr6-dark-metallic-blue-1992/
  6. I removed my KW V1s and went for the koni top adjustables with H&R springs. Gave a bit more comfort, i was forever adjusting the KW's and never seemed to be totally happy, at least with a fixed spring and shock you can just fit them and not worry about setting them up.
  7. Might well be interested in the engine. Could be about £400
  8. I had beru leads for years in mine and think they do the job fine. Never really agreed with expensive ht leads on a near standard car.
  9. Good luck with the underside. It seems to go on forever once you start. I hard trouble getting the heatshields, i remember one costing a small fortune. Had mixed results with my underside, some parts rusted up again in a few months. Wish I'd had bolts and some other bits plated,
  10. I did. But ordered them through heritage parts with annavr6 off the forum. Meant the postage was cheap.
  11. Yeah, i experienced it on mine, i did have it fixed once but wasn't happy with it so cut it out and got it done again. VW sell the repair panels, but you get a lot of panel you don't need. LHS = 535809839A RHS = 535809840A Mine repaired, can see the welding but i wasn't bothered as its hidden once wing is on I found once the water got beneath the under seal the rust spread all along the seams, i had to have a few bits of sill cut out and repaired as well.
  12. I've not gotten round to stripping the seats yet so that may be an option....I've seen universal heating elements but the word universal and corrado rarely seem to go together
  13. I need to replace the heating elements in base of seats, mine must have shorted out as it got mega hot in one spot, burnt my arse and the seat. :(
  14. I went for the thick plastic type coating on my rear beam and a few other bits. Not sure i'd get it again, i like the sound of the e-coat.
  15. My dashcam power supply is meant to fit to the cig lighter, but i didn't want it hanging there so hid one behind the dash, i just had to connect it to some wires from the stereo
  16. I seem to recall phoning and speaking to a woman about an exhaust and she told me they were waiting for them from the manufacturer. Sounded like they were just buying in the raceland ones from china. I ended up getting mine from the US.
  17. I think corrado will stay at around £235ish per year
  18. I thought it was just cars registered 2017 onwards, so my 2016 fiesta will still be £20 a year
  19. You have to do something for about 8hrs a day, although people say you should have a job you love etc, its not always possible. I don't mind my job but i often think i'd rather be doing something else. I just shut off from work as soon as 5pm comes and don't let it come into my own time. I'll never stay late or come in early and also won't come in on a saturday if asked. I think some jobs can seem appealing but after doing them everyday for a few years it'll all become just a job to fill those 8hrs a day
  20. I think we should all put our money together and start a Corrado Museum/Repair centre.
  21. I love the way the corrado has these stories from the past. Don't get that with a boring car.
  22. Nah he has a G60 with the seats in it
  23. I doubt VW make their own underseal, you would think they just buy it in from somewhere
  24. I buy the packs from halfords, called pre paint prep wipes or something.
