  1. Am off to VW tomorrow. Looking at a 2013 Scirocco 2.0tdi GT bluemotion. I don't know a massive amount about them or the model range. But looks nice, has full leather, 18" rims, 17,000miles. Anyone on here got one or can offer any advice about them.
  2. Techtonics tuning in the US sell all the components for it in a nice little kit, these are on my list for next black friday. http://techtonicstuning.com/main/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_138_140_405_348&sort=20a&page=2
  3. Every time i've rang tsr they never have any vr6 heads. Found this site, not contacted them http://www.etektuning.com/integrated-engineering-aaa-12v-vr6-stage-1-cylinder-head/
  4. Almost finished wet sanding the bonnet with 1200grit Going to fill the chips and then sand it with 2000grit
  5. Reminds me of the ABS connectors, could it go on the pump?
  6. I'll be very surprised if this comes to anything. After all the years of talk of carbon fibre wings on here. Then someone with a few posts can get them for a 1/4 of the price.
  7. Yeah sounds like air in the pump. Have you squeezed the pipes, sometimes helps get water into it
  8. Did the rear end with this stuff. http://www.express-paints.co.uk/upol-gravitex-stone-chip-1-0l/
  9. I'd need to see good pics and them fitted before i would comment. That's a cheap price for them.
  10. I was going to paint it body colour and lacquer underneath, then considered using that paint protection film on the sills etc
  11. I haven't thought that far ahead yet  I think it'll end up being at least until next year before i think of doing a complete respray. I should really get a decent mask now though, as spraying the underside of car is bloody hard, its only a foot or so off the ground so am lying underneath it trying to spray upwards. Do you know any decent online shops for that sort of stuff?

    £15k VR6

    I prefer my 235,000mile example
  13. Cheers, i'm mainly after making sure it has no rot/rust anywhere. Not finished yet as the weather turned damp again. Managed to get some anti rust primer and then some hi build primer on last weekend, been sanding since that. I drilled the hole in the sill, so i can squirt the cavity wax in (in case anyone wondered) Grey is the hi-build primer, which i've sanded back, ready to paint
  14. I was thinking of getting a setup from SGS engineering Something like this http://www.sgs-engineering.com/air-compressors/semi-pro-diy/sc50h-50-litre-high-flow-air-compressor-spray-gun-kit Although not going to do it just yet, am just going to rattle can the bits i've done for now. Am Saffron Walden/Great Dunmow area. Am trying to find some decent sanding blocks at the moment, was looking at Durablock, but can't seem to find anyone selling it with it in stock or able to deliver quickly.
  15. This is where i've got to so far, don't think it helps that my sanding block is an inch square, going to buy some better ones, been looking at the Durablock set. Has taken about 7hrs of wetsanding so far
  16. That's what i've started doing but wasn't sure where to stop so ended up deciding to do the whole bonnet, looks a right mess at the moment and is taking a long time. I think the lacquer was already a bit thin, definitely had lots of defects in it. If you look around the reflection of the light tube you can see it has loads of little sunken dots over it.
  17. My plan was to fill the chips with paint, and then wet sand it back and polish the paint back up, i think i might have to re-laquer the whole bonnet now. Stone chips Carefully filled them
  18. I decided to try and fill all the stone chips on my bonnet, not sure its gone very well, but i'm going to stick with it.
  19. Anyone heard from him recently or know him. I bought a foglight off him, not received it yet and now its been 3 weeks since last message/him active on forum.
  20. How much fuel was in the tank, i have heard of this happening with some aftermarket fuel pumps if the fuel is low.

    Ebay

Try write to trading standards, i was in a shop and they had an offer of something free when you bought something else. So i bought it and they said the free offer starts tomorrow. I didn't see any date on the display of anywhere else so argued that and they still declined. So i wrote a letter and then the store contacted me and sent me vouchers. It does make you feel petty and annoying but a win is a win.
  22. I'd enter if you could knock the £295 off my car insurance. Basically you would be paying me about £50 a year and insuring my car. I actually did just renew with you about a week or so ago and you were the cheapest.
  23. Just doing one bit at a time now. rather than taking paint off everywhere and getting overwhelmed with it all. I think i might look into getting a compressor and spray gun. Am sure i can convince a mate to build a spray booth in his workshop.
  24. Not really got any further with the engine, not got any way to transport it any more, may rent a van or something. So using the time to do the underside/sills again, stripping off the stuff i put on as i wasn't totally happy with it. Took the ston echip off the seals, just going to paint them Door shut needs painting and new sill covers And then back underneath, i must enjoy the pain of lying under the car and sanding upwards.
